Why don't you make a new Star Wars game if you want one so bad? :P

What came out in 2005?

Also, it was part of Mr Ward's plan to only release two Star Wars games a year, because the quality of LA games has...well...

I'd prefer two good games a year than a dozen second-rate ones. Of course, all we've got from this new system is two second-rate games a year. <_<

well here is a link to the 2005 games: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:20...and_video_games
I would hardly call Republic Commando, KOTOR2, Battlefront 2, ROTS the game, and of course Lego Star Wars second-rate games.
anyway here is a link to the 2007 games: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:20...and_video_games
wow 2 games <_< (technically 1 game since you can play both Lego trilogies already)
and xavious, for 1 I don't even know how to make an MPEG on my computer least of all video game, and 2nd you both know damn well you want more Star Wars games

I thought K2 came out in '04...oh, wait, that was just the Xbox version.

ROTS game...meh. But the others (aside from the Lego games :P) were good (so I've heard). So yeah, I guess '05 was a good year. :D

ROTS was a second rate game. It was very linear, as it followed the movies storyline almost exactly, the multiplayer wasn't that great and the challenges were very easy. It isn't very creative, but it is better then most games that come from movies. LEGO Starwars was once again, just a game made from the movies, so it's not like there was a challenge for it, all they had to do was actually make the game, they didn't have to go through the long process of making a plot or adding interesting aspects to the game. LEGO Starwars was fun, but man their gimmick was LEGO.

Republic Commando needed to be way longer then it was, it's like the Portal of Starwars games.

The only two truly good games from 05 were KOTOR II and Battlefront II. I'd also rather them concentrate on two games a year, then several games a year. Besides, a good game will keep you occupied until the next game.

Lego Star wars rocks!!!

You have the Force Unleashed coming out this year, and within the next few years, I would guess at a new MMORPG, an FPS or squad-based 3rd-Person action game to compliment the Clone Wars cartoon, and another adventure game, either Force Unleashed 2 or KOTOR 3. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another Rogue Squadron-type game and of course a lightsaber game for the Wii.

Here's a list of potential games over the next few years:

Republic Commando Sequel
Battlefront sequel
KOTOR sequel
new-Era RPG (non KOTOR)
Force Unleashed Sequel
Lightsaber Combat game
Snub Fighter combat game.
MMO game
Star Wars RTS (possible an Empire at War sequel)
Lego Star Wars 3
Star Wars Saga game

Republic Commando Sequel

We definetly need one. I'd say that should be the next starwars game they continue, other then KOTOR of course.

I don't like games based on movies because, I've usually already seen the movie, which means there will be all these silly little sidequests which didn't happen in the movie, just to make the game longer. Another reason is that the gameplay is never poetic, the learning curve takes a long time, storyline is unoriginal, and either compressed, thrown to the side, or horribly mutilated when they add their own spin to it.

However, ROTS was not horrible, I enjoyed it, it was somewhat fun, but it had NO replay value, and the alternate ending was absolutely crap. LEGO starwars was fun, better then ROTS. But once again it's just the movies, so it's not like there is anything new to it added to it, other then the lack of dialogue, which they don't need, cause we already know the story!

I'd rather play something new, then something I've already seen done.

The only games that came from movies that I truly enjoyed and thought were awesome were Lord of the Rings: Two Towers and Return of the King. Both excellent hack and slash games.

where did you hear about all these
KOTOR 3, Lego 3 where removed from quote since K3 is obvious and Lego 3 was already made (The Complete Saga)

it's an educated guess. And that lego game was essentially a lego 1 and 2 doublepack with a few extras.
