The first Star Wars horror novel, Star Wars Deathtrooper.

It looks good, I may get it.

This looks VERY interesting. I might pick it up but the release date is too long! I want the book to come out now. :P

But seriously, yeah. I'm going to pick it up eventually.

Yeah I'm a fan of the Republic Commando series and this looks like more of the same, except darker. So bring it on.

I found an excerpt from the book...

The stormtrooper walked through blood and guts to a mountain of dead bodies. He had seen alot of gore, but this. This was Winnie the Pooh.

Yeah looks interesting but Star Wars and scary don't go good together...

Whoa, you got a big signature, anyway...Star Wars and scary defenetly don't get along. Whoever tries to combine those is nuts.

Err.. I'll disagree to that. I think horror elements and Star Wars does sometimes work, but other times... not so much.

I mean, look at Republic Commando. That's like the most violent, most intense, most gritty Star Wars game ever. It doesn't have a crawl, nor a SW feeling. But still, it works because I enjoyed playing it.

EDIT: Also, Darth_Revan207, change your signature. Please...

ROTS and ESB are dark and have Star Wars feeling. As does K2. But RC was gritty.

Uh....Republic Commando had no horror aspects whatsoever. Nor did it even stray very far from star wars.

Also there are a lot of games that you enjoy playing that are just garbage so I don't know if that makes your judgment of RC very clear. Star Wars and scary can't get along in the sense that star wars is very hero based. It could only get scary if it went really out of the way of star wars, which no game I've ever played has.

What are you talking about? Remember that Republic ghost ship level? It may not have been scary, but it was dark at least.

No it wasn't. There was nothing dark about it because it lacked all immersion.

It was dark but more gritty. I first played it at my friends sleep over party with another 3 people watching and another 4 on computers and it was about 1:30 in the morning and the ghost ship was creepy in the full black even with a few people around.

Here's what half of the book will be like...

The stormtrooper was then thrust into the air and crushed until there were only blood!

Its all gonna be gore, which in fact ISN'T scary.
