Why is nearly everyone so negative around here.

Because the original Force Unleashed was awful. I played it, and I didn't like it. To me, it seems like all they were focusing on is the game-play aspect and killing waves of imperial troops until you get bored of it. I had enough of that with the Episode 3 game adaption.

Its not like the story is any better either. So apparently a random Jedi appears and trains under Vaders command eh? And this young lad is apparently how the Rebellion was started. One problem there: we never get any references to this in the original trilogy.

TFU 2 isn't worth my time or money. Besides, graphics don't make a good game.

Sorry, did u say they ruined the JK series? What was wrong with Jedi Academy?!

It is the worst Jedi Knight game ever made. Jedi Outcast = Better. Plus, if their going to include role playing elements such as character customization, then at least let us ''ROLE PLAY.'' Like in Fallout 3 or Dragon Age or KotOR. (aka: Choosing your own dialogue and muting the main characters voice.)

Well i enjoyed it to the extent that i got all the achievements, which i've only done with 3 games, & soon to be 4, i need 3 firefight achievements on Halo 3: ODST.

Let me just say this; "You can't please everyone".

Okay, I might be sold if they have REAL multiplayer, not just one on one dueling within a limited range, but things like Free for All and Capture The Flag to where you can play with anybody in your country or the world, JKA might not have been a very good game but it got multiplayer right, there are people still playing to this day.
Maybe they could add a little bit more interactivity with the environment, like where you can destroy buildings.
Another problem was the horrible camera angles, if they could just keep it to their back without shifting (Like the Jedi Knight series, and other various good games). It would be good to make it longer too.

No, I hate it because it sacrifices many of the unique elements that were in the previous Jediknight games, and instead cheapens the overall experience into something lackluster and boring. I know the irony that Jedi Outcast itself may not be perfect, and it too sacrificed many unique elements from the first game, but in my opinion, it's better then Jedi Academy.

The storyline, for example, isn't the best; heck, it's arguably one of the worst Star Wars Expanded Universe story-lines that I've ever seen. Basically, you play as a generic Jedi character, with no unique personality, or character development over the course of the game. Now, in Role-Playing mechanics, this concept would work a lot better, and I'd be less critical, but the problem is: Jedi Academy isn't a Role-Playing game.

After you finished the tutorial, a generic Sith cult named "Disciples of Ragnos" comes in and starts causing trouble with the Jedi Order. Thus, the events of Jedi Academy begins, and as you progress through the story, you do repetitive missions that has no major impact on the story. The story, itself, is a typical cliche Star Wars game, where Good guys Vs Bad guys, and the good guys themselves win. Again, I know the irony that Outcast begins and ends the same way, but it's saved from a good presentation, character depth, and a good game-play system that Academy lacked.

Academy, for the most part, felt ridiculously easy and suffers from the lack of "Balance". You start off with a saber, and that's all you need to use for the rest of the game. Sure, you have guns, but what's the ultimate point in using them? Of course you can shoot them from a long range, but don't you get a force power that allows you to do that called "Throw Lightsaber?"

The point I'm desperately trying to make is that Outcast, while having a similar combat system to Academy, is still more balanced in terms of boss battles, force power progression, and puzzle solving. Not to mention that the characters who are in Outcast are far better then anyone I've seen in Academy.

I can understand some of your points espicially the ones about the mission and it being to easy, I finally decided to get JKO on Steam and im really enjoying it. It's alot more challenging than Academy but I still enjoyed JKA especially how you can create your character and choose light or dark.

Anyway on topic, TFU II looks good, I will give it a go and if they make a book of it (which they did with TFU and I reccomend it to everyone it's REALLY good and explains stuff the game dosen't). So yer I wanna try 'em both.

A new CGI trailer came out: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-the-force/101182

This trailer simply proves to me that this game isn't worth the ridiculous $60 price tag, and also proves that it isn't even worth renting either.

That was rediculous. It's beyond infuriating that LucasArts doesn't get it. Or maybe they do get it, but they refuse to acknowledge or do anything about the fact that they're doing nothing but putting together heaps of crap. Seriously, they're stuffing action into this like stuffing into a turkey on Thanksgiving. How much more can they do it?

On a side note, Starkiller's raw power defies Star Wars almost as much as KotOR 2's story in itself, and at least the writers of KotOR 2 were doing it with purpose. No Jedi could do what Starkiller just did. Not even Luke or Yoda or anyone. I can't wait to see how the final product of this game actually turns out to be.

Gameplay footage, anyone?

Right now this game is meh to me. TFU2 is a rental at this point. Gameplay looks slightly tinkered with, but basically the same. Visuals don't look any different at all. It seems that they just rushed this out to make some $$$

The only cool thing I've heard so far about the game is that you can slice and dice stormtroopers with your sabers.
