So I love the effect of this card (Its a super-nerfed Corile!), but I feel that at 7 it just isn't worth it...

I agree. Pulled one in a pack the other day. Read the effect and was like, "Hey, that's pretty cool." Then I saw the mana cost. And proceeded to blankly stare at it as I put it into my binder.

Just not worth it. It needs a lower mana cost, or at LEAST 2000 more power to be playable, I think.

It's kinda like Shell Dome for Nature. Except that one might be slightly more playable than this due to mana ramp. At least this card has cool art...

I think he's viable in a control deck. It's almost as if your opponent's skipping his turn (if your opponent has no cards in hand) so you have another turn to play other cards or use tap effects.

You make a valid point, but I personally couldn't justify playing him (or her) as more than a one-of... Also, I would rather play Waterspout. Even though he comes out a turn later, I like his effect more, and he avoids Barrage.

This is Corile but it costs 2 more mana. I think it's good, and it has won a few games against me, but as Zodiac said, Aqua Sniper costs 8 and can be a continuous removal spell because he can bounce himself back to the hand. He also avoids barrage and rock bite.

This. Also, Waterspout is so much cooler than this card, and has so much more utility in what it can do.

Yeah, that was a great card of the week. Although I half expected them to do Razorkinder Puppet. That card is so insane, and in such high demand right now. But I want to get a playmat made with waterspout printed on it.

Word. I think it'd be good to have one copy of it in a control deck. Using it towards the end of the game would be nice. Especially if your opponent is running out of cards to use.

I'd like to retract my original comment about this card.

After actually playing with it, it's definitely a good one or 2 of in a control deck. Definitely under estimated how good this card can really be.
