Too Much Wit, Not Enough _____

So we all knew Tatsurion would be evolved in the latest expansion Evo Fury but we didn't know it would be so... well, look at this:
Spoiler: click to toggle

Ok ok, I know you guys see Tatsurion as the face of the brand but still, you've given Armored Dragons plenty of support, they didn't need a 12000 Power Triple Breaker Evolution Creature that can attack on the same turn it enters play and can lock down a Blocker for a round. The only saving grace (if you'd call it that) is he only evolves from Armored Dragons and not Beast Kin too. He's a bigger Fighter Dual Fang for Armored Dragons is the thing.

Yes, my statements sound botched and ridden with bias but I think it holds water when I say that... it is a very powerful creature and it will see play, but I think we can wait a little longer to see how the meta shapes up with the rest of the expansion. All I know is when we see a Beast Kin Evolution Creature, you can bet a Post-4EVO Fire/Nature Tatsurion Armored Dragon/Beast Kin deck will happen (as many have thought about building after 3RIS.)

So what do you guys think of Evo Fury Tatsurion?

Oh. Dear. God. WHY!?

That is just pretty ridiculous... hopefully the rest of the set balances this out because that just seems ridiculous... There are so many GOOD Armored Dragons right now, this is such an easy include in a fire deck. And to give it triple breaker as well? Unreal.

This is my opinion but I'm not really liking this card...I mean yeah it's the first evolution card but I was kind of expecting something a little different.

First thing that comes to my mind is its name. Did they really have to include the set name in its name? Maybe it's just me but it sounds weird.

Next is the 12000 power and Triple Breaker. I think this is now the strongest card in the game (not including the rest of the Evo Fury cards). I'm surprised they released Triple Breakers so soon, especially when the game is supposed to be a slowed down version of Duel Masters. And for only 7 cost? That's kind of ridiculous.

It's Dragon Wings effect is interesting. If your opponent only has 1 blocker, you can knock out 3 shields right off the bat (that is if they are keeping the evolution system the same).

Don't take this post personally. Just sharing my opinion. I would like to see more cards in the set and how they are handling evolution creatures now. I think it's a good card, but it might be too soon to say.

Red, yea, Evo's are working the same as before. They put the rules on the site in the post where they revealed this Evo.

It's a very good card. The power curve is definitely upping the ante faster than I expected it to.

Why the heck are they releasing Triple Breakers so soon??? Doesn't make any sense.

I don't think it's broken. If you run a dragon deck with hyperspeed dragon, by turn 7 op would have less than 3 shields.

No, Kaijudo is faster than DM. People get that impression comparing 3RIS with DM-1 to 5.

Care to explain? Almost everything brought back got bumped up 1 level. The new turn 3 is now turn 4, BAT is now level 4, the new Corile is now level 7, and there are more spells/shield blasts that can affect gameplay early like Bone Blades and Root Trap.

3Ris is a mix of cards from sets DM 1 to 6. We know that gameplay with DM becomes faster as more expansion are release.

In DM-01, you can use BAT to summon cost 5 creatures before like Tri-horn Shepherd (Rare) and Deathblade Beetle (SR) , but in Kaijudo there are a lot of stronger level 5 creatures like Skycrusher's Elite (R), Hyperspeed (R), Tri-horn is rumbling terrasaur (C) and Deathblade is Splinterclaw (R). A level 3 BAT won't affect both games in the same way.
So they had to "recalibrate" some cards to prevent Kaijudo base set to be broken and too fast for new players. Some cards are better (Crimson Wyvern, Barrage, Tornado flame and simian trooper gash) and some are worse (Terror Pit, ).

Unless you are talking about base sets, in order to make a real comparison between Kaijudo and Duel Masters, you need more sets.

well ... for my part i'm unable to do a deep and concrete analysis, because i don't even know too much about DM's OCG (a huge lack of play-pals arround my aera, i was mainly collecting cards back then, so please excuse my lack of meta gameknowledge ...) but i could tell alone from the mans cost's new rule that we can expect a faster gameplay. That point, imho, will couple perfectly with the "new" possibility we have to merge colors/civilisation in the samr deck, efficiently. So long story short, a broken card can get with any other broken card easier than in the OCG.

back on the subject, i can see some spell/blast that would take care of those level 7 especially. I meant, a more generic counter, kinda like the spell that kill level 5 or less, but this time for 7 and less. I know, we already have terror pit ... but it could be a nice addition in a red/black deck based uppon dedtruction.

on tatsurion directly, yes he's broken. if 12k pow cost now 7, with a triple breaker and nice effect in prime, i just wonder about other evolution creatures ... like, the ones who dosen't get that 12k, "unnessecary" vanilla, what will we get from other evos with less power ?? triple creature swap when summoned ? four mana spawn when evolved ? card search ?

i'm half way trought excited and affraid. I meant, i wouldn't like the game to take the "broken cards" path too early on ...
