So what do you guys think of our newest look into Dragonstrike Infernus? I think he has a pretty solid ability, and a Level 5 for 5000 power isn't exactly terrible. And being able to cheat in higher cost guys is NEVER a bad thing. I think he could potentially see some play in a dedicated Armored Dragon deck - which i DEFINITELY feel will be a thing in some fashion after DSI is released.

Not to detract from the competitive play aspect, but I thought I'd give my opinion from a slightly different perspective.

I feel the artwork on this card was over-simplified. Intricacy of art is something I greatly value when I am admiring a card. I understand simple if the art's concept was clearly designed around a "simple" approach, but I feel like this card leaves a lot to be desired. So much more could have been done with the background and the melting city type setting. Also, as important as fire is in an artwork centered around flames, the shadows it casts are equally important. The potential for incredible shading effects here is great, and yet the implementation of such effects is altogether nonexistent.

Trade Thread
I'm giving my own tiny shop a try, just to see if there is enough interest in the product to sustain it. Consider it a little project of mine.
Any and all support helps me expand so that I can start providing Kaijudo cards at competitive rates in higher quantities!

Too Much Wit, Not Enough _____

What's got me slightly impressed is one of the obvious combinations on following turns if he drops first and, more importantly, how much more synergy the Armored Dragon archetype has gained, though Herald of Infernus' effect works for any Dragon.

I speak on the first impression from the stance of Herald of Infernus + Chain-Lash Tatsurion. Sure, chances are you want the Hyperspeed on board, but as to open up an attack option is viable with this combination. To reiterate just in case, as some still use Star Lantern, Blockers that are attacked untapped cannot block for themselves.

Then the second notion is derived from a strong board-state of Hyperspeed Dragon + Herald of Infernus + Hammer Dragon Foulbyrn + Dragons. We all know this one; I'm not saying that you could get crazy in no time but, you can get crazy in no time. Of course you can't deny that after dropping a few Dragons, the board-state will look difficult to contend with. But who knows how he'll mold the meta when this set releases, I know he can get pretty intense.
