So we finally see what Infernus is about and he's... uh, really really strong, and man, if there's not a Fire Bird cycle, I don't know what you'd call this Kenina after seeing Belua:

They make cards like Infernus Super Rare but Medusa Uncommon? I just don't understand it. xD Can't complain, keep making the better cards cheap and the bad cards Super. <3 |

Infernus might be overhyped but I like it. I've had no trouble playing 9 cost cards and control decks are in the game for the long haul anyway so the high cost is even less of an issue. I see the card as being a good contender for a possible future finisher of choice especially if the cheating cards prove worth the effort to get the big guys out early espicially if coupled w/ ramp effects. Too early in my opinion to label the card as a red herring. Could easily not be efficient enough if the game keeps as fast a pace as it's current meta state but it's a fun card to build a dragon theme deck around. Kenina likely may prove a meh card. In dragon focused decks I could see it replacing Twin-Cannon Maelstrom's role, but TCM will still be a better card for decks that say seek to set up fun infinite combos w/ Twilight Commander. |

But our current meta state isn't even that fast..it only gets fast when you use Nature Mana Ramp and currently most of the mana ramps don't begin till turns 3+ anyways. It's gonna take a few more sets before we see a faster meta game, it just isn't there yet. |

I do believe Infernus is hyped a wee-lot and while I agree that the game is not that fast, mana-ramping is underestimated. The soonest you could start ramping is turn 2 up to 3 Mana with Sprout and then expand to 5 Mana on turn 3 with Bronze-Arm Tribe. Then 8 on turn 4 with Mana Storm, just for sake of argument. A turn 5 Infernus can be done if you get the best hand, yes I'm running this on conjecture that this is conceivably possible. Sprout will see more use out of the Kurragar base than Infernus. Now not to say Infernus isn't strong, he definitely is, most will not be going the mana-ramp route, they'll want to no-cost him into play with Herald of Infernus or Hammer Dragon Foulbyrn. More times than most, you will see the Hyperspeed Dragon deck variant with these amp'd options. |

Everyone is complaining about it being pointless because it at level 9 but has everyone forgotten that we now have creatures that can put dragons into the playing field for free? |

Yeah but that only goes back to my other arguments. Combo oriented decks in every TCG game prove to not be consistent regardless of the card game you play. Hyperspeed is easily tier 3 currently simply because it requires too much to go right to work and these cards that are being created aren't what I consider to be the appropriate remedy of improving the deck. There only new combo pieces required in even earlier stages of the duel that require everything to be set up even more appropriately so drawing these cards turns 5 and higher essentially makes them useless [Speaking of the Fire Birds here]. So while it does improve on the deck it also only makes it more inconsistent and more likely to not work/seen in larger events. Now I'm not gonna say this is 100% true yet either because I still wanna see the rest of this set but if something doesn't release for there turns 1/2 plays and mana ramps for them more consistently my opinion of the deck as a whole will remain the same. |

Interesting observations...I now see he is not over-powered, but still pretty interesting late game. Comboing it with Herald would be pretty sweet to see, but it would be like once in a couple games you could pull it off. |

Well with turn 2 sprout, turn 3 reap and sow and then turn 4 play something like either of the two new cards that make dragons 1 less mana and a sprout, and boom, really early 9 drop triple breaker. or turn 5 or possibly sooner other Infernus dude who just plays a dragon from hand when he battles, or the one that summons one from top of deck. In my opinion a turn 5 or 6 triple breaker that kills 4000 or less completely is broken |

Judging from the support cards that have been released so far, I reckon most will be to get your dragon cards out faster but we will have to see |

Yeah everyone has to remember that Dragons are getting a lot of support. We now have two fire birds (and more) that will make it easier to summon Dragons. Nature mana ramp will also help getting these out. I don't see Triple Breaker being pointless cuz what if you wanted to wait to break their shields? I think Triple Breakers are great for finishers. |

Good luck having perfect auto pilot hands every game in an already inconsistent combo-oriented deck that already has issue with getting everything to go off right. Sounds beast in theory man but in real testing I don't see this adding up. |

Statistic, I agree with you ATM, but with only what like 5 cards revealed, and there are already 2 cards to lower the mana cost of these dragons and make them stronger, if the previews keep going on this pattern, that dragon combo I posted earlier very easily could happen every game and there will be the 9 drop Fire Drlarkness and nature dragons on boar saying good game |

If Kaijudo does reach that point by this set I'd probably quit. We don't want another YuGiOh. >.< |

It really isn't, every tier 1 deck can put 8k on the board. There is no skill left in the game and what skill there is gets overlooked with sacky OTKs, top decks, and luck. Played the game too long to know and regret spending so long on it. Game is gonna have to change if it expects to keep its core players. |
