Too Much Wit, Not Enough _____

So we finally see what Infernus is about and he's... uh, really really strong, and man, if there's not a Fire Bird cycle, I don't know what you'd call this Kenina after seeing Belua:

Infernus's name on this card makes me think he will not be the only variant we see of him. I mean in the show he is called "Infernus, the Immolator", so we may see more variants of him down the line...
They have said with main characters in the show, they would create multiple versions of them. And if you look outside of the three main characters, they have done this already (Mighty Shouter, Moorna). I think Infernus will play a much bigger role in Season 2 of the cartoon forcing them to do another version of him. While I don't see 5-6 versions of him, you could potentially see 2-3. Depending how they throw in the cartoon the dual civilization creatures and how they come to be, it could get interesting very shortly in the show.

Infernus's place is mainly in a control deck. Most beatdown decks rely on weenies (evo baits and such), and if the control deck reaches the endgame, those beatdown decks are crippled. Control decks, while they rely more on spells and finishers, still have utility creatures like Fumes and Rusalka that Infernus stops.

Just powering up those dragons, I already have the feeling Infernus is going to be banned from official tournament, or just limited to one per deck. And for the other dragons, there's always the power up cards from Rise of The Duel Masters and Evo Fury.

Still, I want to see what they will do for Water or Darkness dragons in Dragonstrike.
Banned? No.
I don't exactly agree with that comment. He is a control card yes with his abilities. I however, don't see him just sticking in a control deck like WDF. Ramp decks and combo decks can utilize him just as much as a control deck can and probably faster to be honest. I don't know if you play MTG, but how I look at Infernus is how I looked at the Eldrazi cards from MTG. Ramp decks utilize them the best even with their control components to them. Look at Modern currently and you will see them in those style of ramp decks mostly. While we really don't have all that great of graveyard recursion in Kaijudo like MTG does, I could see a possibility of sneaking them in that way if we get the right cards.

Banned? No way. Not now. If the meta gets messed up due to a certain deck, maybe restricted. The fastest I have gotten this guy out is turn five in my All in the Family deck and that is really getting my combo off. That is a perfect world too. If, and this is a really big IF, I can get cards that allow it to consistently do that, then, and maybe then you could see it. But that is if they haven't come up with something else to balance the game with. And lets be real about this, WOTC has done a pretty good job balancing this game so far.

i think it's probable we could see cards that banish target with X requirement or dragon for the easier dragon banishing in this set.
