TBH, I never cared to much for Dragon Hate either; or any type of hate really. But I am a bit worried that Dragons will become a powerful force in the meta, even if it isn't as a "Dragon Deck". And when I got my hyperspeed going before I would be dropping dragons each turn; so the Terror Pits and Root Traps had trouble keeping up now. With all the new support, I can see dragons overwhelming Terror Pits, especially with Lux. So unless they add more powerful removal, which would be bad imo, they may need to add dragon hate. Or the answer may simply become to fight Dragons with Dragons, but that would kill off a lot of the creativity and diversity of decks. I guess we will just have to wait and see what new removal option come and if dragons will become commonplace (although considering the whole set seems dragon focused, I think at least some will). |

And this is why Lux is really the playable one out of the three birds shown so far. :-) |

It creates a cool balance where Root Trap is useful |

Agreed. However, ramping a ramp deck, probably not the best thing to do ;-) |

It's better than staring down at your in hand Terror Pit against one or more Lux accompanying Infernus the Awakened or some other fierce dragon.

Don't forget that Lux also falls prety to [card]Barrage[/card] and [card]Tendril Grasp[/card]. Still a good card though. |

I'm planning on playing Lux in a Fire Water Light control, with Herald of infernus and tap cards. Use Lux to get Herald out sooner, as well as protect Herald from being banished while I set up, then use tap cards and Heralds ability to drop Infernus into play. Water is just for hand generation to help me get the dragons in hand, thoguh I'm still waiting to see what water cards we get to maybe improve the whole situation. Hoping the water fire bird is also cheap. |
