So I just recently got this idea and thought it was decent. The problem here is that they're both 5 cost, but that can be fixed by ramping. Anyways the idea is that Herald is an armored dragon so hyperspeeds effect is triggered. That means, Herald can attack right away, and if you ramped right, can win a battle and summon a bigger armored dragon, which also would have fast attack. You would have to have a pretty specific hand but if pulled off, it would be devastating. |

I expect this combo to be the core of many dragon decks. Armored Dragon decks mainly, with Nature for ramp. Turn 4 Hyperspeed, Turn 5 Herald into Infernus. That certainly hurts. |

I think Twin-Cannon Maelstrom should be added to this combo. Not only do all the Armored Dragons get Fast Attack, but now they're hitting for +2000 more than they originally have. |

While that certainly could help with herald winning battles, I don't see it being essential. Once herald attacks once then your opponent is going to be scrambling to take out whatever card you summoned if it's big enough. Most of the removal would probably be aimed to the giant dragons taking over the field. Also, it's another 5 cost making the whole combo harder to pull off. While this would help, I don't think it's important. |
