It a cool card. Random happenings with it, but cool. Have a deck that can take a chance on it ;-)

Pros: Youre almost garunteed to get its effect off
Provides another way to get your Dragons out faster

Con: VERY dependent on luck

Could bring all new meaning to the phrase Top Deck for the Win. Fun card. Not anything that you can expect to rely on though. But at worst it draws you a card and it is a shield blast.

This might dissuade control players from continuing to run triple Seneschal in everything because the last thing I want to do is have to attack a shield to draw on turn 4 and randomly get hit with an Unchained/Infernus/Kurragar/other monstrosity off the top with this thing.

Wow. I think this card is SICK! I mean, you can cast spell or summon, but it does't have to go to the bottom if it's not. And 5 cost?! I see what you mean though about it being tad overpowered.
Decks:
Eluding Abyss
Fight!
Shields holding!
W/F rush

After playtestkng my dragons (which runs 3 of this) against my friends dragons (which runs 3 of this as well) I can say that this card will be a staple 3 of in any and all decks that run blue. it is just insanely good.

You do realize you're FORCED to cast the spell, right? So if you happen to hit Tendril Grasp when you wouldn't want to cast it, you're forced to, and if you hit a Terror Pit when they have no creatures it's burned straight to the discard pile. This card -1s a lot, and it's almost never optimal in hand. It's great in the shields like 50% of the time when it hits something usable and good in the situation but that doesn't change the fact that I literally never want to draw something like this.

I completely disagree. Well, the logic is flawed over here on the disadvantage. This card depends 100% on deckbuilding for it's strength. If you know what you are doing you will RARELY -1 with Spells from it and this is clearly meant more for creature plays/decks. I wouldn't even really use it with Pit or with Darkness in the deck for that matter.

But this being a bad draw? Dude, you build a deck around it. Or just toss it into any creature Swarm deck. It's the best thing you can hope for in your hand.

If I didn't see what this exact same card did in Duel Masters I might have been skeptical about its use too when trying to look purely at the card itself.

What makes or breaks any card is actually the Odds you get from it. Open-ended effects like these are the easiest ones to swing into pure advantage because you can manipulate that apparent randomness highly in your favor.

So I have to build a flawed deck to get the most out of bottle? At least it's better than the people calling it a staple, lol. In a deck with that many high-cost creatures, I'd obviously run ramp cards so my opening hands aren't consistently awful, and then you run the risk of hitting any of those ramp cards with Bottle - which would be great when Bottle's in shields, but it's going to be in your deck about 7 times more often than it will be in shields. Once you reach like 7-9 mana, you'd obviously just want to consistently draw your big threats than say, "Well, Bottle of Wishes time, hope I don't hit a Sprout."

This card will win games and probably local tournaments on the random. The EXTRA random. There's a ton of cards I'm legitimately super excited about for Dragonstrike, I promise, this just isn't one of them.
