Artwork is great, ability is pretty friggin awesome - but he's just so unplayable.

Only evolving off of Tatsurion is a huge drawback - not to mention the 9 mana cost. Evo Fury Tatsurion never made it into competitive decklists - and he had more bait and cost less mana.

Might be cool to make a Tatsurion based deck for fun - but definitely not for competitive play.

You're right but you never know until the set comes out. :P The Kaijudo blog says that there is another Tatsurion card that makes the "perfect" card to evolve this onto.

This cards art and ability are AMAZING! Definitely agree, not very likely to be played a whole lot. I think we all saw a F/N hybrid Tats card coming, we just had no idea it would be so powerful (or so friggin' hard to summon) Last note:Give good abilities to other cards! Stop making so many tatsurions people! Sorry, bit of a rant there.
Decks:
Eluding Abyss
Fight!
Shields holding!
W/F rush

Not going to happen man. They said the main characters will have a lot more cards of them made. It makes sense in that they are using the game to catapult the show and vice versa. I have no problem with them making more and more of the main characters.

Already ranted a lot about this on Facebook, but yeah as most people recognized it's just shit from any practical standpoint. It's the Evo condition, the cost and dual Civ. mostly. Too much hard work for too little. And then personally I believe that even the effect is not all as amazing as it sounds in theory. You should basically have almost NO targets for it by that point in the game, and then you still need extra cards to reach them if you do, so you can get maybe a maximum of 2 shots? So not worth it.

I was not aware of them mentioning a combo partner Tatsurion, that is interesting news to me. I saw enough stuff in DM to know what might be: either cost reduction or indirect summoning of The Relentless from anywhere if condition X is met, etc.

I don't think it will save it. It just expands the gimmick, it doesn't make it stop being a gimmick.

At least it has the badass art going for it, got to respect the card for as much. And I LOVE infinite attack effects but shame about the delivery.

I really like that this guy might as well say "Unblockable". There are a few decks right now that can wall up and pick you off at their own pace using tricks like Neuron or even the inconsistent rally the troops. This guy is a better answer to swarms of blockers than crimson wyvern. Birds still lower the price and the evo "problem" gives you a pretty sound advantage of playing it when your opponent isn't prepared for it. After an alpha strike, stalling behind a wall of blockers...I want to say I'd never run more than 1, but I'd be pretty confident using 1. Cards like this are tricky, as good as it could be in play it is a pretty rockin' thing to see in your hand at the start too. Where I hate seeing my Infernus/Andromeda in my opening hand, this guy lets me unlock both red and the ever-necessary turn 2 green for a sprout.

I personally believe that this has a ton of potential to be good, and as much potential to be bad. I've come to believe that any evo creature can be amazing simply because of the fact that they impact the game immediately.

(Obviously not a really good fit for decks revolving around Bottle of Wishes, Foulbyrn and such but those decks have bigger problems.)

I think its neat, but I'm kind of sick of the wave of Tatsurions as well. Not that it will change anything. But more on topic.. I think this card would be more useful if it weren't a Tatsurion-specific evolution. If this could evolve to any Armored Dragon OR Beast Kin, it might have more use. I thought that's how multi-civ evos would work anyway or is this just a one card instance of creature-specific evo?

Looks like my Fire/Nature Tatsurion Armored Dragon/Beast Kin deck may be worth revamping after all (I was consider just making it dragon and dropping the big beast kin/tatusrion support =P). This is the first Tatsurion Evo that I actually have liked; others just didn't seem to be worth giving up an Armored Dragon or Beast Kin to get over playing a second Armored Dragon or Beast Kin.
While it does seem hard to play, that ability is just brutal. Although with a 9 cost it may be a bit past the point. Still, I will defiantly try a Tatsurion themed version of the deck with this guy and seen how it fares against the other kinds.
