As we saw with [card]Bottle of Wishes[/card] and [card]Herrald of Infernus[/card], putting creatures into play for free can be a really devastating effect. The Hive Queen does this except it has a limit of the card being level 5 or less (I honestly don't know why they put a limit on Megabugs and not on Dragons). One of the newer Megabugs you can get out with this card is [card]Humonculon the Blaster[/card], which has TWO enter-the-battle-zone effects, allowing you to tap a creature and boost one of your other creatures by +3000. Another new card is [card]Steamtank Kryon[/card], which gives your other creatures Fast Attack. Then we have [card]Mana Tick[/card] that lets you place a Megabug from the top 4 cards of your deck into your hand. [card]Snap Claw[/card] has some synergy with The Hive Queen, but that +2000 power might not mean much. We also have the level 5 Double Breaker [card]Splinterclaw Wasp[/card]. EDIT: Completely misread the card, thanks to Mdude186. You can get out ANY creature (not just Megabugs), so you might hit something like a [card]Rusalka, Aqua Chaser[/card]. This card has potential but it's not much of anything in comparison to the Dragon cheaters like Foulbyrn and Herald. It will be fun to play with and makes Megabugs a lot more attractive then they have been. Hopefully somebody comes up with something that makes this more competitive then I think it can be. |

Steamtank and this guy are a must, but once you set that up looks legit. |

I disagree to your statement, as long as a majority of your deck is composed of megabugs, you should never whiff it, but you could whiff Foulbyrn, and herald has to win battles, where this can just fire and forget, with an 8k double breaker body. Obviously the trade off is you can't get expensive, high power cards, only weak little level 5's. I think the trades make him their equivalent at least, if not more consistent and supports a much more consistent deck that can actually play cards. |

Currently, there are only four Megabugs that are above level 5: Deathblade Beetle, Launcher Locust, Lepidos the Ancient, and Xeno Mantis. The rest excluding Hive Queen and Swarmleader are 5 and below so I don't see the limit being an issue. |

We playtested it pretty thoroughly last night, and we think it has solid tier 2 potential. Most of the variants we played with started with a Megabug core of Manapod Beetle x3, Mana Tick x3, Steamtank/Humocolon x3, Hive Queen x3, and went from there, usually running Gigahorn or Reinforce for support. I ditched it though, because I'd be running like 24\16 Creature:Spell ratios, and almost always miss with Queen, though I only whiffed Mana Tick once. |

You guys realize that its ANY level 5 or lower right? you don't need to summon a level 5 or lower megabug. O.o This card will be a sleeper. |

Problem is Mdude is whether or not it gets out megabugs or anything, it's an evo, that require proper evo bait. I like a 3 to 1 ratio, so that's 9 slots minimum. But I do agree that he might be underrated for getting out rusalkas and 5 mana double breakers, so we'll see what he does. Just realized I totally missed that when I first saw it, but I realized how it worked today, so I forgot what I thought of it.

Whoops, I am completely stupid for not catching that. My point about level 5 and below Megabugs is still relevant though since there is plenty of evolution bait for Hive Queen. |

I think a lot of us made that mistake because of [card]Herald of Infernus[/card] and [card]Hammer Dragon Foulbyrn[/card] specifying the Dragon race.

Well that definitely makes it far better though. Assault dragons are now welcome to the cheaty face double breaker hive queen party, and even better with steamtank now as you're going to hit a ton of cards and you're going to get a lot of value on that haste. |
