Call of the Beasts (40) Evolution Creatures: (5) 2 [card]Flamespike Tatsurion[/card] 3 [card]Bronze-Arm Sabertooth[/card] Creatures: (32) 3 [card]Kurragar of the Hordes[/card] 3 [card]Lyra, the Blazing Sun[/card] 2 [card]Deepwood Druid[/card] 3 [card]Humonculon the Blaster[/card] 1 [card]Quillspike Tatsurion[/card] 3 [card]Bronze-Arm Tribe[/card] 2 [card]Canyon Skimmer[/card] 3 [card]Keeper of Laws[/card] 3 [card]Razorhide[/card] 3 [card]Sword Horned[/card] 3 [card]Lux[/card] 3 [card]Prickleback[/card] Spells: (3) 3 [card]Reinforce[/card] Mana Curve: 1 --- 2 --- 3 ------ 4 ----------- 5 --------- 6 ----- 9 --- Civilizations: 11 Light 6 Light / Nature 23 Nature Just a fun deck I've been playing around with. The basic idea is to swarm the field with creatures, attack and ramp until you can get out Kurragar. Humonculon and Lyra deal with [card]Herald of Infernus[/card], which is a primary weakness to this deck because of [card]Infernus the Awakened[/card] preventing you from summoning Beast Kins. Keeper of Laws and Reinforce provide draw power, and Reinforce will almost always net you 3 cards because of the low amount of spells. The swarming helps Keeper stay on the field. Once you get Kurragar out, you can pull off some neat combos with the Beast Kins. Edited by RedRaptor10, Jun 11 2013, 09:21 PM.

Interesting. Have you tried this deck w/ [card]Prickleback[/card] and not liked how he works? I like the little guy. Also [card]Forsett, Heroic Shaman[/card] is a strong option that you can play even with Infernus the Awakened on the board to help you keep going. Any match ups you've played that are particularly harsh? Thanks for sharing such a unique list. |

I was just thinking about Prickleback lol :P. Yes the Dragon match-up, and Herald is the one card I hate most when using this deck but I realize that Prickleback can safely return back to hand and avoid Herald so I might try him out instead of Jackalax. Forsett is a maybe but him not being able to attack creatures is kinda a turn off especially with the turn 6 Lyra or Humonculon. The other card I was thinking about is [card]Quillspike Tatsurion[/card] because Herald can't attack him and he works well with Lux (or suicide him vs. Herald lol). Do you think I should drop 1 or more Deepwood Druid (or any other card) for a Forsett/Quillspike? Anyways thanks for the suggestions Captain! I really do want to try to perfect this deck because of how interesting and different it is from other decks. Edited by RedRaptor10, Jun 3 2013, 08:38 PM.

My only complaint is too many 3 mana cards. I would take out deepwood druid and lux. Prickleback and raging goliant instead for me. |

[card]Oathsworn Call[/card]? Yeah it doesn't get your evolutions out there, but you can get almost everything else in your deck into play for free and can use it to stop you opponent from attacking any more that turn. |

Play and Promote Poorman's Format Check out Tzar's Poorman Decklist. Please use card tags when you post in the deck deposit. Using color tags just makes your deck harder to read and harder for people to give you feedback. Not to mention it makes it harder for newer players to see what types of decks are being played. | |

I think Lux is a must in any dragon deck running light. If I take lux out then I'll only have 8 light cards. Idk about Deepwood Druid, he does seem to be played into mana a lot because there are better turn 5 plays, so I'm trying him at x2. Yeah I'm trying Prickleback too, and I haven't found Raging Goliant's effect to be too useful. Thanks. |

I actually had Oathsworn Call when I was first testing this lol but I don't see it being useful unless it's in my shields otherwise it gets played into mana tapped, and being a spell would hurt Reinforce. Thanks for the suggestion though, I just feel like Oathsworn Call would be better suited in other light/nature decks. |
