I saw all the support these civs got in clash with the curve busters. so I though to be a deck around them. http://www.tradecardsonline.com/im/s...deck_id/390312 The General idea is to beat face with early gamers like Razorcat and Sword Horned while mana ramping, then hitting Kyron midgame and beating face with the beefy finishers Infernus and Andromeda. Of course that's an incredibly theoretical model and I've yet to do any playetsing. Thoughts apreciated. |

So, where is the deck list? Please post it with card links okay? BTW, what does that website have to do with this deck idea? |

Play and Promote Poorman's Format Check out Tzar's Poorman Decklist. Please use card tags when you post in the deck deposit. Using color tags just makes your deck harder to read and harder for people to give you feedback. Not to mention it makes it harder for newer players to see what types of decks are being played. | |

So how often do you survive long enough to cast Andromeda? That seems more of a control card than agro. If you are being aggressive enough, then the game shouldn't last long enough for you to need a 9 drop. |

I based the skeleton of the deck around a DFN Saberbolt deck, so I used Dromeda as a sub for Mind Crush. It ramps up pretty well, if you see that game I played I got crazy stupid mana pretty early I used to not run as many big finishers but I found my deck lacked POW!. And I had a bunch of mana and nothing to do with it. Edited by JimHarbor, Jun 9 2013, 01:42 PM.

I have OCTGN but hardly anyone is on. TCO lets you record matches though. http://gaming.tradecardsonline.com/im/startGamePlay/game_play_id/3144744 My lategame seems to be weak. Edited by JimHarbor, Jun 9 2013, 06:14 PM.

As a long time and current OCTGN user, to my knowledge the most current version of OCTGN doesn't even have OCTGN support. Was hoping you had insight on 3.0 game def. EDIT: Heat Seekers and Return to Soil both seem like dead draws. At least comet missile will hit aqua strider as far as heat seekers and is a shield blast. EDIT EDIT: Dog, as much as I love myself a steamtank kryon, putting it in your hand over andro late game?

Did I do that? Really? Also a crush game. http://gaming.tradecardsonline.com/im/startGamePlay/game_play_id/3146569 I agree about Soil and Seekers. Perhaps toss them out for a splash of dark? Ive been mana screwed a bit before though... 4 civ might push it. |

Yeah the problem was that it took a while since they updated OCTGN and we got that so for a few weeks afaik you couldn't play on it, which is why everyone is on TCO, which is kind of more community oriented. But hey, now that OCTGN is up I'd jump in, tho for the life of me where to find players? Lol. Anyway, about the deck. Man, there are so many different approaches and timings for LNF to take I can't really detail them all here, since it takes some precise deck building, but for example you can focus it more towards doing creature battle, stopping his plans and then going for shields, or you can do more of an unstoppable shield offense kind of thing. If you went with the Sabertooth approach I can see why you opted for all those high costs, it does seem to stack all the way to that mana and thus you need higher quality plays unfortunately (only so much to be done with multiple lower level plays). Not bad and you have all the perfect secondary accel to back it up with the Beast Kin and Reap. Having two very different play style in a single deck is a very powerful ability, it makes it very solid, and we all love Sabertooth for being that great. I'd say you are on the perfect path, all it needs are tweaks and the daring to go a bit over 40 cards (which I think virtually any deck can do and improve) so you can fit more balancing in. One of your biggest problems right now are cloggy or fail opening hands, so a bit more cards on top should be ok. I see you also corrected some stuff like taking out Barrage, that was good, didn't do much. My recommendations are thus: 1. Drop Stormspark for Keeper of Laws. More creatures because I see you playing aggressively, and law is as great as they come for aggressiveness, you also need that draw ability badly. Random defense chances matter less and you can already work your way around blocker heavy decks with a decent amount of ways. 2. Moar Awakened, less Immolator. I'd say Awakened has to be at 3x because you'd get him faster most often, and that speed is very critical. Also that lockdown is singlehandedly the BEST ability for your main dangerous matchup: controls. Instantly shuts down like 70% of what can stop you. 3. Try Reinforce, card is godly level and your deck is mostly creatures, it will be DRAW THREE most of the time. One of the main reasons these decks can get so good. Your flow will increase so well with it, you won't believe it. Just go do it. Now. NOW DAMMIT! |
