This was probably the toughest deck I've ever had to build, but the results were very much to my liking and it plays more or less exactly how I want it to in the end. I must have blown through like, 20 different versions of this deck, but I am confident that this is the best way to do it! Light: 13 (15) 3x [card]Andromeda of the Citadel[/card] 3x [card]Lyra, the Blazing Sun[/card] 1x [card]Dorado, Golden Dragon[/card] 2x [card]Keeper of Laws[/card] 3x [card]Lux[/card] 1x [card]Stormspark Blast[/card] Water: 11 (14) 1x [card]King Tritonus[/card] 1x [card]General Finbarr[/card] 3x [card]Nix[/card] 3x [card]Logos Scan[/card] 3x [card]Bottle of Wishes[/card] Darkness: 10 (12) 1x [card]Dracothane of the Abyss[/card] 1x [card]Dreadclaw, Dark Herald[/card] 2x [card]Scaradorable of Gloom Hollow[/card] 3x [card]Terror Pit[/card] 3x [card]Mesmerize[/card] Fire: 7 (8) 3x [card]Infernus the Immolator[/card] 3x [card]Infernus the Awakened[/card] 1x [card]General Skycrusher[/card] Nature: 3 [card]3x Root Trap[/card] Multi-Civ: 4 1x [card]Squillace Scourge[/card] 1x [card]Shadeblaze the Corruptor[/card] 2x [card]Aqua Strider[/card] Stats: Total- 48 Creatures- 32 Blockers- 4 Spells- 16 Shield Blasts- 10 Edited by Tacho, Jun 17 2013, 03:45 AM.

Eh? Assuming card availability is not a problem, you kinda lost me. For one, just 1 Tritonus is forever wrong. It's actually the best play off of Bottle short of a situational board advantage from Infernus. Not only is it a huge creature you can immediately be threatening with but all those extra draws, when pulled early it guarantees your win late game because now you can just mana something AND play each turn and you can end up playing almost anything you topdeck. You have lots of 1x's, which some make perfect sense and use but overall you killing it. Squillance Scourge, Skycrusher, Dorado, Shadeblaze? Those are kind of anti-climatic and more like fodder with those effects. Squillance, I can get the appeal of, but it's just too random to want to Bottle at the right time. I can see how that kind of Critical Strike can be very strong when pulled off, but the strategy as a whole would just move better if you used moar Tritonus, where Squillance would be ill advised (it already is with all the draw you have). Idk man, if you just wanted a whole bunch of middle cost Dragons too, it's still better to 3x on something better...or just use better: Unchained, Billion, etc.? And if you want to do a swarm of highly powerful creatures, you'd still be better off with Herald. The problem is this: you focused entirely on making this deck around that 3x Bottle in your 48 list size. I think that's just wrong. You are putting all your eggs in one basket. No Herald, no Mana Storm, not even a Keeper of Dawn at the very least, because that's needed if you intend to depend on an entire Spell/survive Mesmorize. Also not enough battle initiation given the main advantage of this strategy is highly powerful creatures. No Piercing Judgement? It just seems to me like you reached a version that you yourself are happy playing and can exploit the weaknesses of those around you. I just don't see the internal consistency tbh. |
