Okay, I need to make another straightforward and easy to play deck for my mom to consider playing. The idea I came up with was a deck based on Skycrusher Elite. I have 3 of them already after all since they where the basis for my nature/fire rush deck before Steamtank Kyron was printed. Not only that, but Skycrusher's elite is a fun card to play with. The tricky part is balancing the colors since I ended up going with fire/darkness/water. Right now the ratio is 9 fire, 9 water, 10 darkness, 6 water/darkness, and 6 fire/darkness. I ended up taking the Grip of Despair from my Rot Worm deck, but I think this deck needs them more.

Deck

Fire Cards (9)
3x [card]Blaze Belcher[/card]
3x [card]Badlands Lizard[/card]
3x [card]Skycrusher's Elite[/card]

Fire/Darkness (6)
3x [card]Lizard-Skin Puppet[/card]
3x [card]Oozing Lavasaur[/card]

Darkness (10)
2x [card]Gigastand[/card]
3x [card]Skull Cutter[/card]
2x [card]Soul Schism[/card]
3x [card]Bone Blades[/card]

Darkness/Water (6)
3x [card]Freakish Test Subject[/card]
3x [card]Grip of Despair[/card]

Water (9)
3x [card]Aqua Seneschal[/card]
3x [card]Rusalka, Aqua Chaser[/card]
3x [card]Memory Swarm[/card]

So what do you guys think?

Edit 1: After further thought, I removed the Hydro Spys for Memory Swarms. It gives the deck more unblockable as well as lowering it's mana cost a bit.

Please use card tags when you post in the deck deposit. Using color tags just makes your deck harder to read and harder for people to give you feedback. Not to mention it makes it harder for newer players to see what types of decks are being played.

Well this is the deck I played tonight. I ended up in 2nd place out of 9. It's only lost was against a deck that was able to get out Infernius the Awakened which just shuts this deck down. Even that match was winnable until he did that in game 1 and game 3. My biggest concern was me thinking that with 3 colors I might have mana issues, but the deck worked like clockwork.

Basically it has a decent amount of card draw, discard, bounce and a lot of slayer making it very toolbox like when playing it. It was a fun deck to play and I need to get my mom to practice with it a few times so that she feels comfortable enough to play it at Adventures in Comics when we play their this Saturday.

Other than the Hydro Spy everything seems cool. The extra draw doesn't compensate having such a weak body that wont do anything.

Suggestions for things you might want to add:

- Soul Vortex* : Cool Spell that neutralizes a creature and replaces itself.
- Gilaflame : A Fast-Attacker is a good way to end your duels when your opponent is clinging to his last shields. It even goes over Aqua Strider! :)
- Dark Return* : Pseudo-Draw. ( A perfect replacement for Hydro Spy ;) )
- Baron Burnfingers : This one is harder to explain. It also nets you advantage in a weird way. Doesn't combo with Skycrusher's Elite though ..

That is what i have. Beware of Bottle and Infernus decks :P

Well, if I did replace Hydro Spy, I would want to replace it with a mono-water card so that the 3 civilizations are still balanced. I strongly think that me not getting color screwed is a good reason why the deck did so well. So that means that Veil is a possibility as is [card]Memory Swarm[/card]. Having another unblockable card to play after I get Skycrusher's Elite out would be nice. In theory, I could put down another card into my mana zone after I play elite and then play two unblockable fast attackers.
