How do you feel about Plasma Pincer in this? Up through 4 mana, I'm pretty sure only Sparkblade Protector and Reef Gladiator can block it and not end up banished. His ability to untap at the end of your turn seems like it would make him difficult enough to answer that he might be pretty effective in helping close games out. |

I'd consider some Jetflame starters. And I can't believe you aren't playing Blades Barrier. It stops any of there blockers from stopping your rush for two turns. That's HUGE. |

Will need to test both of those cards. At first I thought Plasma Pincer was a bit slow. Idk how well it will do in rush. I like the Lyra effect Blade Barrier has, but I don't like going -1 for it. It might be good though, I'm not sure. It's definitely good in mono light rush. I had a hard time trying to fit everything into a 40 card deck lol. There are just so many options now. |

I feel like more removal is needed just in case this deck goes late game. Maybe some Heat Seekers or Tornado Flame? |

Here's what I'm working with right now. It's a Drakon core with Light at the top of the curve to help me close out the slightly longer games. 3x [card]Blaze Belcher[/card] 3x [card]Jetflame Bodyguard[/card] 3x [card]Magris the Magnetizer[/card] 3x [card]Branca the Treacherous[/card] 3x [card]Flame Spinner[/card] 2x [card]Drakon Weaponsmith[/card] 3x [card]Laser-Arm Drakon[/card] 2x [card]Burnclaw the Relentless[/card] 2x [card]Shaw K'Naw[/card] 3x [card]Plasma Pincer[/card] 2x [card]Keeper of Laws[/card] 3x [card]Blitzer-Mech Falkora[/card] 3x [card]Gilaflame the Assaulter[/card] 2x [card]Blade Barrier[/card] 3x [card]Stormspark Blast[/card] I'm thinking of trying Jet Thrust Darter in place of Shaw K'Naw. I feel like this list is a little slower than it needs to be, and Falkora has a similar effect. My worries are that I'm cutting my mono-Light cards to ten, so I won't be able to drop Magris on T1 if I draw it quite as often. I'm trying Blade Barrier over Comet Missle for color reasons and to try it out. I haven't tested enough to know which one I'd want over the other (assuming I don't have room for both), but Blade Barrier has the added benefit of letting me attack past cards like Herald of Infernus. I feel like the idea is to remove a threat or lock the opponent's field down just long enough to go for game. I would love to have three Keeper of Laws and three Gilaflame and three Falkora, but I feel like nine four drops is too many. I'm trying to figure out which of these does the most for me. After that, the plan is to try a 3/2/2 split for 7 total. I'm favoring more fast attackers right now. It may favor Keeper just to keep the Light/ Fire ratio a little higher. In the games I've played it, I'm liking Plasma Pincer. He plays well with my four drops. I'm expecting spells and Lyra to be the most commonly available answer to him. So, my opponent either doesn't answer him and loses or gives me a card when I have Keeper. With Falkora, I'm big enough to remove large blockers like Aqua Strider. Gilaflame lets me repeatedly attack past Andromeda while not risking my board. I tap him for Andromeda's effect, untap at the end of my turn, and pick Gilaflame back up. Overall, I like the deck, but my list definitely needs some work. In the games I've been able to play, it feels like it's slower than it should be. Any suggestions alongside putting Jet-Thrust Darter in over Shaw K'Naw? Edited by fakegeorge, Sep 17 2013, 04:24 AM.
