Only discuss if you're knowledgeable to both sides, because people who don't know about him tend to underestimate Superman a lot without knowing that he's actually a better match for Goku than you'd think.

ScrewAttack really underestimated Goku and what he's capable of. Let me find my notes where I calculated Goku's true minimum strength

My notes in regard to Goku's strength

Katchin, in the original manga it is called the densest material in the entire universe by Supreme Kai and as such would serve as a better test against the Z Sword. I then calculated the current KNOWN densest material in the universe neutronium (14.45 billion tons per cubic inch) and the estimated volume of the cube off of Goku's height (one side is almost as long as Goku, so rounded it down to 5 feet even, so 125 cubic feet)

There are 1728 cubic inches in each cubic foot, so each cubic foot is 14.45 billion times 1728 which is 24,969,600,000,000 tons per cubic foot

125 cubic feet times that is 3,121,200,000,000,000 tons

Not to mention he took close to NO effort tossing that.

Pretty much, so when it comes to sheer strength, it honestly seems both have incalculable stats. The fight REALLY comes down to weaknesses the way I see it. Goku has no real weaknesses. Superman has sun dependancy and kryptonite

Which one? Sun or kryptonite? And is that the future Superman?

Due to years of absorbing solar energy, he is no longer vunerable to kryptonite. It's never explicitly stated that he no longer depends on solar radiation.

He is also shown to be more powerful than New Earth Superman.

If you haven't read Kingom Come already, please do; it's some of Alex Ross' best work.

Looked it up. So its an altverse. Hmm

Well, I'm willing to admit that if Superman flies into the sun and chills there for a long time, he would be stronger than Goku, but the same time Supes spends in the sun could be used for Goku to charge a massive Spirit Bomb.

And I feel like both of those options are kind of cheating, so I'd prefer neither of them did that.

Such a match up is always difficult because both have so many different versions.

Bayonetta 2easy.

Goku couldn't even defeat Vegeta.

Goku fought Vegeta twice. The first time was in the very beginning of the series and the second time was a draw where Goku didn't even go all out, with Vegeta hitting him after the fight was over.

By Dragon Ball Kami to Kami (battle of gods), it is confirmed that SSJ2 Vegeta has exceeded SSJ3 Goku's powers (and judging by their solo performances against Lord Bills, he exceeded Goku by quite a bit). So there's that.

Vegeta beats Superman, no contest. He's the one tapping Bulma, after all.
