I am going to make a good many Leads to sell, and When I make mine, I always use Brass Trigger Snaps. Of course they come in Nickel plated too for a good bit less per snap. If you don't know what I trigger snap is google it, and you will see. For those of you that have used Trigger snaps, do you like them over the Regula Hook Snaps? my question is, if you were buying a leash, would you want Brass or Nickel Plated? Is the $1 extra worth the brass to you? It is to me, but these will not be made for me. And I am buying snaps in Bulk so will only buy one type. |

I think the brass snaps are the best. I also like an all nylon lead. Loyd. |

I like brass snaps. The ones I use are 1/2 a cable lead and nylon the other half. Good strong leads....got themfrom Tony at Triple T in SC. Let me know how much you're gonna sell yours for... Thanks. |

Jason, I looked at your page, are the ones you are talking about all chain with a nylon handle? I might be able to make them If I can find a good price on the chain and hardware. Here are the ones I was going to make. I make mine now out of 1/2" Dayglo, these are 3/4". The ones I am going to make will be 5/8" Dayglo. 600 Lbs break strength. http://www.huntsmart.com/index.cfm/fuseact...253,l-751/pos/4 |

![]() I like these chain leads, a dog can not chew through the chain, but will chew through the all nylon leads while tied at the tree.... I like the 2 snap system and it can very easily be expanded to work for a 3 dog lead as well....... I think the key to this lead is the big, heavy duty Swivel that really works well keeping dogs from getting twisted in the lead.... The nylon is a very heavy duty nylon and I have accually pulled a 4 wheeler out of a mud hole with one of these leads.... The only thing that can wear out of these is the snaps and can be easily be replaced....... Mr. Price sews them instead of riviting them and that really helps with the durability of the lead & he don't have to buy rivits..... Biggun |
