Calhoun-(Cajun) want to help but don't fully understand your question . OK your rows are going to be 200 ft. long. But what do you mean about 5ft. rows? You say weather is going to 35* for couple days. What is your ground temp? If it warms up down there & stays warm from here on out you should be ok. Have to remember sweetcorn not as hardy as regular field corn. Will check on some nitro rates for you. Here is some advise from a dumb farmer. Plant whatever brand & variety does good in your state & area. Up here in my fields Pioneer Brand has put more corn in crib than any other brands year after year. It just works the best on our soil type in this neighborhood. And I have to pay attention to this. Even if Pioneer is not your choice they have the best AG web-site Iv'e found so far. They have agronomy-weather-comodity & grain markets-drought & soil temp. monitors-daily forcasts-and more. www.pioneer.com/growingpoint On your field corn-can't tell what stage of growth it's in but agronomists have always said as long as growing point is below ground corn can freeze off & still come back.
