Today, I pulled the first 5 ripe tomatoes out of my garden. They were the first ripe tomatoes that I have gotten before the 4th of July in probably 10 years and they were so sweet that you would think they had sugar sprinkled on them. My wife fried up some chicken, mashed taters and gravy, biscuits to go with them. You guys would have to be here to see how good it was. ;) Take care, JJ

well, the rabbits ate my cabbage and beans, so dry the corn is tossling at waist high, but my onions are good and tomatoes are even better, and my potatoes are blooming great, and my cushaw is looking good so far, so this fall, I will have plenty of tomatoes and onions, with fried potatoes with some bean fattened rabbits with some cushaw pie for desert. yum, yum. Plus, i plan on having an old cur dog tree me some gray squirrels when I get tired of the rabbits. Those squirrels go awful good with tomatoes and onions and fresh taters. And Buckwheat, you and all are welcome. Thx, JJ

Shucks, groundhogs around here are about as common as dinosaurs. The coyotes took care of that. I used to love young fried groundhogs but you aren't to likely to stumble onto many now. JJ

Man oh Man !!! You guys sure know how to make a person hungry!!!! When I was akid we used to raise a lot of chickens.(Cornish Rock) We had freshly caught fried chicken -mashed potatoes & gravy & sweet corn and our own milk from our cows almost every Sunday for dinner. Sometimes we had homemade cottage cheese to go with it. Only thing on the table store bought was the salt & pepper!! I have a couple of tomatos that might be ready tomorrow. Onions and radishes have been real good. Just replanted some more onions for this fall. Cucumbers have lot of blossoms-haveto wait & see how they do. Can't beat fresh anything from the garden!
