I cleaned out my freezer last year and fed nothing but raw meat for probably a month. Everything from old rabbit, deer, antelope and wild boar. I ask the vet and he said it was ok if I kept the dogs wormed out or to boil it for about 10 minutes and not worry about worms. I know this, my dogs never looked better or shinier. |

don't know why meat scraps would be harmful, dogs get lost or semiwild will eat anything they can get a hold of.I used to get a lot of deer meat scraps from a local butchernever any problem with dogs.they love to chew on knuckle bones.only bones you have to worry about dogs eating are those that splinter, like chicken bones.i've even fed those in past, tho i don't make a habit of it.dog food keeps going up may have to see if the butcher is still in business. |

Years ago I used to get meat scraps from our local meat locker. Then came Mad Cow Disease scare and now we can't get those raw scraps for our dogs any more. They said the state wouldn't let them sell scraps that wasn't cooked for animal feed. Ain't it funny -they never try to stop me at the door whenever I buy a pound of their uncooked hamburgerto cook for my supper!!! |
