I "ve been told all my life by people that you should never feed your dog sq, guts and hides. Because it would cause them to chew the sq up bad when shot out or carry it off. I don"t thank that hold"s true, because my dad was 77, when he pass on and he alway had a number one Sq dog and God only know's that the Sq"s that that man has kill along with us boy"s at home, Back then they was a lot of Tember and lot"s for Sq"s to eat and lot"s of Sq"s. It wasn"t noughting for us on a all day hunt to kill 25, TO 30 SQ"s and we feed all the Remain's to are Sq dog's I belive it made them better and most would bring the Sq to you. WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHT ON THIS. Glem |

I used to feed sq scraps to dogs. Fur would usually give them tapes. If I feed them at a young age, it was usually hard to get the sq from them once shot out. |

I have heard the same thing about feeding your dogs the fur or hide off any game they would get tape worms be cause tape worms comes from fleas if the squirrel has fleas and the dog swallows them seems they would get tape worms. I have also heard that if you feed the guts if the squirell or what ever game has internal parisites or worms that your dog can eat the guts and all so the worms and get worms.I knew one guy who feed his dogs after he had skinned the coon he would feed them the hind legs but I don't know of any problems he had with that. |
