I dug through some old photos and found these pics of Jake. He died probably 4 years ago and I still haven't got the coon dog I had then. He was a littermate to my Jack dogs mother. Thx, JJ |

Here is another of Jake. There is a young female in the pic also that was out of Old Chunk. One day while I was talking to Robert, he said that he would like to have her to breed that bloodline so the next time I was down there, I took her to him. I give her to him and he gave me 2 pups to bring back. One was a pup out of Ug that made a super nice squirrel dog. My mom really wanted him so I let them have him and he stays treed on their farm. I'll get a pic of him on here sometime. The other pup I got from Robert was the Julie female that Jason has now. Thx, JJ |

James, those great ones are hard to replace but the GREAT thing about these Kemmers dogs is that a high % of the pups make above average game finding tree dogs! |

I don't know that Jake would be considered great by anyone besides me but when I turned him loose, I could count on him finding a coon more times than not. He had a trait that I really liked, he wanted to do what I wanted him to do. I see alot of that in Jack, when he gets treed, if you pet his head, he will just stand up on you and bawl over and over. Jack will tree me a coon and is getting better but he still likes quite abit to catch up to where Jake was. Thx, JJ |

My best memory of Jake was in a KSBA coon hunt & after releasing the dogs it started raining & it only got worse from that point on. The lightning & rain was terible & we scratched jake & started tracking him to find him & he was treed in that storm . We drove down the road for about 2 miles & he was tree on a big mountain about another 1/2 mile from us & the guides said the only way to him was to walk from there , so James had taught him to come when called so we started calling him real hard & finaly he heard us and started coming back. I was very happy to tell by the tracker that he was coming in cause it wasn't a good feeling holding a yagi antenna out in a lightning storm. But that was the way Jake was , when you turned him loose he would go get treed some where no matter how far away the coons were. |
