Picked up cousin Carl at Nashville International the other day he just flew in from Dallas/Fort Worth. 2nd cousin and never visited here before. I had a picture of him and that helped me pick him out of the crowd. Anyhow after welcomin him to the Great State of Tennessee we started on the hour and a half drive to Crossville game was really active back and forth across the interstate after we crossed the Caney Fork River. A coon crossed carl said man what was that is was really movin I told him a coon he said ur kiddin we have got coons twice that size in Texas down the road a rabbit crossed Carl asked what was that little feller I told him a rabbit he replied cuzin we got rabbits three times that size in Texas down the road a few miles a nice white tail buck crossed Carl asked what was that I told him a White tailed buck come on now ur kiddin me the bucks in west texas have racks double that size needles to say I was ready for Cuzin to take a nap and rest while I drove on toward the house got off on a 2 lane blacktop and just nearly made it home when I saw a big snappin turtle crossin the road goin from one pond to the next I stopped the truck and woke up Carl. Look I said Carl sprung up with a few choice words and said what in the world is that thing I said "A TICK". He just walled his eyes back in his head and pulled that $300 Resistol hat over his face as he dozed back off to sleep. Just had to share that one!!!
