Leslie Mareks dogs in action

Leslie finally took a camera along on a hunt with him. He hasn't bought him a digital camera yet, so these are the old, tried and true, 35mm variety.
Leslie maintains a lot of crop land and has to run dogs at night to help save his crops.
This is a nice hog that his dogs got stopped out in the open and he said it was pinned down, couldn't move or a Kemmer was putting teeth into it.
The dog on the ear is a my dog Wiley's littermate sister. The others are mainly Sport JR, C-4, or Target bred dogs.

Leslie breeds for himself, no one else. He breeds for what suits him and his hunting style. He couldn't care less if he ever sold a dog in his life. He breeds for ability and culls what doesn't measure up. He loves these dogs, without a doubt.
It's always a pleasure to talk with him or to stop by his house. One thing that would be worth video taping; Leslie, Calvin, and Robert sitting at a table talking bloodlines! I'd be lost in a New York minute! 1111111111 I wouldn't be able to write fast enough to keep up with the conversation.

And as far as the pictures go, one thing that stands out to me is, I take a lot of 'bay dog in action' pictures, so I like to examine the photos for clues as to what my dogs were doing at the bay. Each individual dog. Because at the time the pictures are taken, our eyes can't take in all the action. Same reason coaches replay games to their players so they can see their mistakes and learn from them.
In these pictures, I see that every dog is focused on the hog. EVERY dog. Very impressive. Usually, one dog is caught looking at another dog, or at the handler, etc. Rare is it that all the dogs, in both shots, are focused on the hog.
VERY NICE!!!! B)

Dee, you are right, them Kemmer dogs look very intense. They sure look like they have that hog shut down!

We have a lot of members like Leslie Marek. He is testing these dogs and proving their worth and ability without all the "hoop-la"; and this is happening all across the country on a daily basis!

Glad you could get a pic for us! We appreciate all the Leslie Mareks out there!
and there are many!

This is what keeps these dogs going strong and proves there worth, phenominal abilities and versatility.

Some folks think that because we do not have 30 dogs in a comp hunt, no one in the KSBA hunt their dogs! HA! HA!

Thanks for sharing Dee!
