Talked to my ole buddy, Lloyd Herring last night and he sounded like the old Lloyd I knew excited about these Kemmer dogs again.

Friends, Lloyd Herring was one of the best breeders of these Kemmers that the association has ever had.

He had a bad incident with Bo. Two blackmouths had him stretched out on his chain when Lloyd got home and almost killed him until Lloyd had to take care of business in a leathyl manner to save his dog. The owner drove up and Lloyd told him "there they are" and offered to help him load them in his truck!

Bo is doing ok but was chewed up pretty good. Almost a bad deal for Lloyd and Bo!

Anyway, Lloyd was telling me about some dogs he located that he might breed Bo to. One is a female that is double bred Striker to a Striker/Cajun female which is Dukes granddam. He also found another Striker bred female but I can't remember the exact breeding.

He also was telling me about a 3/4 Old Trouble/Nuggets Runt with the other quarter Striker(I think) male dog that is small and would be excellent to breed to, especially my Mullins to produce some hybrids.

It sure is great to have Lloyd interested in these dogs again.

As soon as Bo is well, we will be hitting the coon woods! :)

I also spoke to Loyd and it was good to hear his passion is back about these Kemmer dogs. I had several years myself where I needed time away from this so I do understand. Loyd and I talked about some of the crosses we made back in the 90s that I had forgotten about. Loyd and I both saw some great dogs born from some outstanding dogs in those days and it was good to go back and remember some of those dogs from that era. I look fowrard to hunting with Loyd soon.
