Todd Gibson, known as TOP on sqdog, hunts Jake bred dogs on squirrel and coon with good success. I know of a few that are good hog dogs as well.

I know there are a few people hunting dogs with Fredericks Mtn Jake in their pedigree. Some up to 5/8 Jake. Most that I know of are used on squirrel or coon. WKR and TOR have Jake bred dogs. Mr. Wooten in North Alabama has Jake bred dogs and does very well at the hunts. Jim Stanley also does well with his Jake bred dogs and had a few pups a while back. I believe the Dulaney brothers (Moose and Brother Mooose) like the Jake dogs alright. Mr. Roberson, Vance Patterson and another fellow up north, can't remember his name, all have or had dogs out of Jake that they were proud of. Any of these people would be glad to talk to you about dogs. I have seen several that were really nice dogs but I am by no means an authority.

I have male with some Jake blood in him and he's a hard hunting sq dog.I like the Jake blood I've hunted with. I know Thomas got the Peaches dog that is Nosey x Penny bred and shes a good dog. My male can hunt with most on squirrel and has treed daytime coons. Ithink you'll be happy with one. I plan on using the male I have in my breeding program for sq dogs....

My best success with Kemmers have been from the Mtn Jake line of Kemmers. LittleCreek Sasha is a very nice 8-9 month old female pup I got from Moose. I have only hunted her on sqs so far and she is a real accurate treedog.

I have a direct son of Fredericks Mt. Jake. He is 8 years old now but hunts like a two year old. WE bred him to Tracy Robinsons 3/4 Jake female and got a litter the 1st of June we have kept 2 pups and they are doing great at 7 mo. old. Kenny Register and myself have kept this line all along and they are are good ones in every line. These dog are easy handled not shy or ill etc.. these pups are something like 5/8 Jake. I lost a good female last week that Kenny had at his house from something or other she just suddenly died but she was a good dog squirrel and coon. WE usually keep an extra pup or so if we ca nhelp let us know. Good luck!

Ricky, those sound like some nice dogs. I have enjoyed the male I have and Im sure yours are nice. I have never coon hunted with a heavy Jake dog and maybe I can see yours in the woods one day. I hunt Strut (yellow bob) x Target or Blondy on coon.

Take care,
Ben
