I know one thing Ron, Yall have got some of the biggest coons up north that Ive ever seen.I traveled up to appleton wisconson one year bow huntin for a week & saw them things every where at night.I would come around the road & all of the sudden the road would be slap full of big old coons. There would be 6 to 12 coons together right in the middle of the road.I guess If we grew the corn like yall do up their we would have some bigguns like that. Some of them ole coons looked like they would have gone 30-40lbs. :o Would have taken a sure enough gritty dog to go in there
& grab one of them big boys.I was wishing the whole time though that I had me some young dogs up there to dump out on them.I never have been to michigan,So I dont know If yall grow the corn like they do across the lake from you or not???? One other thing, You talk about the 40 degree weather I dont think it reached that temp the whole time I was up there.I liked to have froze to death up their hunting & almost talked myself Into laying up a morning or to.I made that trip about the 2nd week In oct & when I left home people were still wearing their tee shirts.I finally wised up a little sinse then & figured out that those old deer wouldnt worth all that freezing to death In a tree stand. Its more rewarding being in the woods with a couple of them,You no :D "kemmer Dogs"
