This hunt started as a hog hunt. but, u can not predict what these dogs are going to do. as u can see in the picture they decided to bay a couple of coons while they were waiting on some hogs to show. I believe the boy that went with me had just as much fun as the dogs did. When we got back home he sit down to rest and went to sleep on me.

It was a great day.

My Kemmers have only twice located a coon while out hog hunting. Both were during the day and both coons were found in blown over oak trees on the ground. In both incidents, as soon as I realized they were on a coon, I just got back on the 4 wheeler and proceeded on down the road, ignoring the dogs and not scolding them. It didn't take them a minute or two to realize I was leaving without them and it was back to hog hunting. :P
I figure that they are game dogs and a coon is considered game, is it not? Hey, at least they found something! :D

Better luck on the hogs next time. ;)
