Mr. Will I would say in around 1986 or 1987.I remember seeing Tn. Mtn. Blondie at Roberts and she was well up in her age then. She was grey around her nose and showing her age some but without a doubt she was a looker then. She had one of the prettiest heads that you would ever want your dog to have and she was sort of wide in the front and just was a good looking dog all over.I can walk out in my yard among my dogs today and see all kinds of looks that is still being handed down the line from Tn. Mtn. Blondie and I hope we continue to keep getting these traits and looks in the dogs of today for many years to come.I remember 20 something years ago like it was yesterday when Robert told me (The more Tn. Mtn. Blondie you have in a dog the more dog you have).I can understand that alot more now than then on how right Robert was.She was the backbone of where we are today and I don't know how you say thanks to a dog that has been dead for 20 years but my hat is off to that old gal.I can surely say thanks to Robert Kemmer though for knowing and putting things together way back then that would help all of us for so many years to come.>>>>>>>>>>>Big Ronnie |

Great pic of three foundation females that are the backbone of todayS 100% dogs. It is amazing how our dogs of today look like our dogs of the past! Well, It shouldn't be with good sound breeding practices and staying in the foundation! I am sure glad the KSBA got a handle on our dogs before we went the way of others. The only thing different about our dogs today is they are better in the woods than ever before. I have not seen so many natural treeing pups as I have seen or heard about lately. GREAT PIC!! |

Charles I have noticed the same thing in these young dogs we have in the KSBA today. We used to have occasionaly a pup at 4 or 6 months old that would be showing alot of interest or maybe even treeing on his or her own. It's nothing to hear from someone now that has these young dogs thats comeing on strong like they used to not do untill maybe a year old.Theres nothing like seeing one of these young pups we have today in the woods and you get to see the natural treeing abbility come to life that these pups have in them from the day they arrive in the KSBA puppy family........Big Ronnie |
