Larry Herrington owns a 3/4 WI Buck dog that is heavy Gold Nugget with a lot of the Striker blood. I hunted this dog for several months and was very impressed with his cold nose, bawl mouth and track driving tanacity to never give up until his quarry was treed. Max's ability is all natural and I was very impressed. I bred him to my Kemmer's Lady Nugget female and expecting pups tonight, I hope. She is 7/8 Gold Nugget on top and 3/4 Gold Nugget JR on bottom. I would recommend Max to any big game hunter to use in there breeding program. Charles |

rhill if you are in Indiana there is a guy who has a pup doing good out of My 7/8 Gold Nugget male and a Female out of Chunk. Chunk was out of Yellow Bob Gold Nuggets Litter mate Brother and Blondie 2, Gold Nugget and Yellow Bobs Littermate sister and Strikers Mother. I can help you get in contact with him if you are interested. TIM |

Rusty, I've got some seman from WI Buck stored at NeverGone up in Wabash. If you had the right female to breed I'd give you a breeding if you paid for the implant. What you got on your mind? Bobcat? or you heading west? |

I believe Bamas offer is as good as you can get unless he uses that semen to breed Sally Goodin again. I have a male from that cross that Albert Pope in Mt. Upton, NY is hunting that is as cold nosed as you will want, a solid tree dog and up on good legs, Bill Fry has a littermate that he's hunting on those southwest big cats that's doing the job. WI. Buck was overlooked until Steve got him when he was nine I believe. Larry's 3/4 WI bUck would be super adding even more Gold Nugget blood. |

thank you guys for all the leads. they all sound good. Steve thanks for the offer, i dont have any females to breed right now, but will keep that in mind if i come up with one. im not moving west yet, although that would be nice and if the opurtunity came up, we wouldnt hesitate. the talk through the grapevine here at the dnr is that the bobcat population is starting to boom here in southern indiana, to the point that in the next 5 yrs or so ther very easily could be a season on them. you know how that goes, if they are thinking about a season, by the time they open one, we will be over run with them. im ready for something different other than coon hunting, and thought cat hunting would be a welcome challenge. |

Most Kemmers be it Nugget or Bob bred will Run bobcat pretty good. More than the dog is getting your dog on them at the right time. I personally like Bob and or Target breeding and if you can get some of the Yellow Jack x Blondie Blood in there too it won't hurt. Like in Blondie VI, V, VI, or VII. To me that puts a lot of speed and mouth on track. The Bob bred dogs just seem to be wound a little more tight. The Nugget dogs have just as much nose but seem to be a little more laid back. Which in some case is better. Just depends on which you pref. Steve's cross of Buck on Sally Gooden is one of those Total package type dogs. Heavy Cold Nosed Nugget over on cold nose and drive in Target, Chunk, and Jack. Real nice mix, and One would think it would excel on most any game. I know some of the Pups From Strut and Penny have done pretty good on cat, and they are heavy on the Bob Blood with Strut and Penny's Momma being 50% Bob. Also James and Wintford's Chunk male will most def throw nice cat dogs. |

I hope your right Thomas, we have a 3/4 TC Target gyp in the pen with him now, hoping for pups in about 63 days or so. We have cat, hog, squirrel and coon here, so hoping for some multipurpose, track and treedogs. |

Last I talked to Don he said that when he had Old Chunk he was old but would still Run a track faster than most, heads up and Open. He said Young Chunk and his Stormie, Your Chunks Grandma would all move a track the same way. I sure would like to see some pups off of that old dog! |

I know Juice will run a bobcat well......can't stand it when that happens...LOL I like the Target x Bob/Nugget cross for about anything! They have plenty of nose and tree. The Strut x Penny cross is also fantastic. For straight cat hunting I think heavy Target would be nice. Hope to have a little of heavy Target breeding this fall. Should be as heavy Target as it gets.....might want to try one of those on cats. If they turn out like their mom and dad they should be nice for coon, hogs, or cats.... |

I sure would like to see this Tess female of Wintfords on a cat track, bet she would light a fire under one, she can humm a track for sue. When/if she comes in season she'll be bred to my Buck dog, I'm making sure at least one pup gets in the hands of a fellow in Vermont that will geve it plenty of chance on cat and/or bear. Some like one strain, someone else another and even more, I think we can sum it up and just say most any Kemmer if started young on any game will get the job done. |
