Thomas it will get better each day. I eat a bowl full before I left this morning to go see daddy over on Lake Yucatan. I hadn't been there 10 minutes before momma pulled out daddy's big pot from the frig. and it was full of gumbo that he made yesterday. So we had gumbo for breakfast and gumbo for dinner. When we got home me and Machelle fed the dogs and went inside the house and the first thing I saw was Laree had my big pot setting on the stove heating up so you know what I'm haveing for supper. Laree aien't in no good mood anyway after her wreck yesterday and getting her van totaled out so I'm not saying a word about gumbo, gumbo and more gumbo. Matter of fact I like it. |

That is a good one Charles. The products sold on that one should build a great Cajun Gumbo. |

When bad weather hits is bad but when bad weather hits and you are out of roux thats worse. Alright Thomas and James I know ya'll have this bad weather up there too so it's time for ya'll to try your 2nd. round of bad weather gumbo. ......Big Ronnie

Calvin I've been cooking all evening. I started out with my black pot with some deer meat and gravy in it with green onions and a few mush rooms cut up in it and while it was cooking I would look at that jar of Savoies roux and then I opened it up and smelled of it and it smelled good. So in the deer meat and gravy went 2 big spoons full of it. After a little while I tasted it and all I could see that it needed was the package of Savoie's Andouille sausage in it that was in the frig. so in it went. Then in a big can of diced tomatoes with green chillies. Mean while a pot of rice was on the stove. I looked for some okra but was out of it. I guess you could say I had a deer meat and sausage gumbo for supper. It will be even better tomorrow for dinner. The Savoies Rouix gave it a good flavor or a different kind of a rich flavor that was good and a lot easier to use. I'll cook me a real gumbo in a few days with it for sure..........Big Ronnie
