I use Frontline Plus. I buy the big (132 lb) dog dose and it will treat 3 forty lb. dogs. That makes it a little cheaper and it really works for me. |

Bayer Tree and Shrub mix applied to the dog will kill all fleas both on the dog and in their living quarters. Does'nt work on ticks. I use permethrin for ticks but it does'nt last long. |

Frontline is what I use. But my bud bought a gallon of fipronil for $500. That is the active ingredient in frontline. He said it is working well. |

During the warm month's use it once a month or as needed . if you have a heavy infestation you may even have to use it twice a month . It's absolutely safe even for small pup's . $20 a quart vs. $12/$15 to do one dog with advantage . I found it online by the gallon . |

I use once a month. My dogs are in the woods constantly because thats were i live. The fleas you aint going to have problem with once you get them under control using this stuff.Ticks are a different story,my dogs usually start showing up with ticks on there head about 3 to 4 weeks after i have applyed the bayer,,so i know its time again.Basiclly my dogs of hunting age stay out and or mostly kenneled to give the game around here a break. |

We've used the Bayer for several years now and have had good luck. We also tack one of the ear tags over the door of each coop as well as one on each side of our house door. I have one stiched on the front of my cap when I go to the wood to either hunt or cut firewood, works. |

Alton told me about the Bayer, I was skeptical but took his word and tried it, now I'm a believer. It works. I do my dogs in May and I don't have a flea problem all summer long. I'll notice that a when we get home from hog hunting the dogs will have fleas they got from the hogs, but the next day, the fleas are gone. But remember, my kennels are on concrete and this helps keep the fleas and ticks under control as well. A 40 oz bottle cost $17 at Tractor Supply. Just follow the instructions listed above for proper dosage. |

Just a little advice, better be careful with that permethrin i saw an article in a medical journal that linked it to parkinsons. Said people with a high exposure to permethrin were three times more likely to end up with parkinsons. Must be some pretty mean stuff |
