Brad, the Hybrids make fine little sq dogs but so do the Kemmers just depends on what style and type of dog you like. The Hybrids will tree anything that climbs and some are probably above average coon dogs but as a 'breed' the Kemmers are head and sholders above most lines of curs and feist as coon dogs. |

The Hybreds were developed for a squirrel hunter who wanted to feed a smaller dog than a Kemmer Cur that would be as natural to tree game. They are great Squirrel dogs and if hunted on coon they will tree coon but not nearly the coon dog that the 100% Kemmer who is bigger and can work colder tracks and all the things most coon hunter like in a coon dog. The Hybreds will hunt closer and used in small timber . This website is loaded with lots of great information on both Kemmer Curs and Hybreds if you do some searching. GOOD LUCK |
