DO YOU THINK A DOG THAT IS 1 TO 2 YRS OLD THAT IS BREED RIGHT BUT HAS NEVER BEEN HUNTED CAN STILL MAKE AS GOOD A HUNTING AND/OR TREE DOG AS ONE THAT WAS HUNTED FROM A YOUNG AGE. i guess What I am asking is is there a time frame to make a great dog or if its in them will it come out at any age |

Yes, the dog can and should tree, if it's a Kemmer. |

If it's a Kemmer, no problem. I will say that many times the late starters make some of the best. I like to have them start early but if they haven't had a chance who knows when they would have made it. |

First Hand,,,Old Rat was no more than a porch dog for the first two years of her life...Took her for a ride one day to move a deer stand,,,ended up killing 10 squirrels over her ...I have been blessed with a dog that aims to fill a tailgate in a short order.. If its got Kemmer in it,,it is ready for you to put it in the woods ,,,"A FACT JACK" They will hunt whatever you put them on too.. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Duke was 2+ yrs old when I got him and he was not hunted or not hunted much. He took hunting/treeing like "Ducks on Water"! If dog has the natural ability, it will come out naturally!! Note: If dog has not been handled and is shy and not been socialized properly, those natural abilities may not surface because of stress and lack of social skills!
