I just decided to leave my pup out of the pen at daddy's house this week. I wont be able to hunt till saturday and they are eat slap up with coon and possum around their house. We came in from huntin saturday night and he treed two coons and a possum in about 30 minutes in the back yard. He treed first in the corn crib and I just knocked it off the rafters for him. That ole coon landed smack on top of his head and bit a deep hole right above his eyebrow, he lost his footing in the corn and both of them fell out on the ground. It didn't take him long to put it up a tree behind the house. When i got there the coon was in the tree and another one was in a tree bout 40 yards down the holler. Ended up killin both of them to get them out of the tree. I never seen such a heartbroke dog because they hit the ground dead I believe he would have cried if he could. After that i went in the house and just had got ready for bed when i heard him tree again. Took 30 or 40 minutes to get that possum out from under the shed but he took out all his aggression on that poor possum, chewed it up till it was just a ball of hair. I think the week of treeing all night should be just what he needs to turn it up. Can't wait for saturday night. |

Daddy called while ago and said he was about to tree his self to death. Up one holler down the other and under the shed. I gotta send him a light so he can shoot some game out to him. |
