All you guys and gals that coon hunt, what kind of hunting light do you recommend? All I ever used was a Wheat Light when I was coon hunting back then. I have been looking at ads about the Smart Light, Bright Eyes, Pro-Lights and several others. Also the different heads on them, a lot of them are using LED heads on them. Thanks, Richard |

I have used several types of them & have not had any bad ones, I now use the 28 volt Nite Lite. I like it cause you can dim it down real low when these leaves get on. |

Richard we have used several different kinds here at our house. I use a 26 volt Pro light with the LED head, Laree uses a 21 volt Pro light, Machelle uses a 22 volt Bandit and Little Ronnie uses a 26 Cajun. There are a lot of good lights out there now to choose from...........Big Ronnie |

I brought a RAW DAWG LITE, it had new 5100 miners head, I didn't like the light at all, it would not shine out even on hight beam. I got myself a real WHEAT LITE HEAD, put it on and I have a real good light now, from low beam up to hight. I am happy.........................Slow Dawg |

I bought an led k-light it comes with a 21 volt battery that dude is pretty bad to the bone. I think by far it is brighter than a regular halegen light. You can shine the tallest and biggest tree with no problem. I hunted three nights in a row and never had to charge the battery at all. |

Bandit thats the reason I use the LED head because of the brightness and the long life of a battery charge. You can go for several nights without a charge with a Led head........Big Ronnie |

o yea it seems to last a long time and the great thing I like about it you can adjust the knob to adjust the brightness of the light. The k light can be adjusted to be low for walking and turned wide open to shine a tree. I have notice if the light is full power and you shine it on the ground in front of your feet it will hurt your eyes it is so bright. My light has a walking light on the side but it really does no good for me. |

Don mine will tone down from bright to low but it don't throw a big wide spot like the reg. heads do. It throws a smaller spot but also a much brighter spot with a lot more hunting time on a battery charge and you just don't never blow any bulbs. If you have a 21 or 22 volt light the led pro head (it is rectangler with 4 led bulbs)is the way to go for sure. I had one when I hunted with the 21 volt Pro light and it was awsome but when I went to a hotter light it would get hot on high after being on for a while and cut off so I traded it back in with Timber Creek supply for the round Led head I have now because it was built to use on the 28 volt lights...........Big Ronnie |

I use a 21V Brite Eyes and it will burn for a long time because of the chip they use. Luke uses a Valley Creek 21V and its alright, but the Brite Eyes is a better light. We have some tall trees in the hollers and I don't know if the LED lights could shine the tops like a regular light can. I like the LED because its light and easy to carry, but I will carry my Brite Eyes and a little extra weight..... |
