ive got a couple curs and a couple hybreds just cant get any weight on them always runnin on chain in a kennel off the ground and there bouncein off the walls they been wormed good regular tried diff feed diff protein levels just dont know what to do to get weight on them thought bout addin calf replacer to ther feed but dont know how much to add but they eat more then what recomneneded for a 100 pound dog a day

I think some are like those people that eat everything and are skinny. High metabolism rates...LOL Kill a deer and feed them some meat....I've heard that will muscle one up and it doesn't cost much.

Rick I use either rice bran or impower they are both fat builders. They will help and so will calf milk but you have to slow them down. Like Ben said hi metabolism's. We have a couple here like that and they eat everything you throw at them. Good luck.>>>>>>>>>>>Laree

how much would u suggest to give of the dry calf replacer a feedin ive got a 3/4 browny hybred thats round a year old ive even had her in a pin 8ft long with a dog house on the end everything up off the ground one my puppy pins shes almost wore threw 3/4 avantec runnin ene to end bouncein off of it she looks horable but eats well ive got some deer meat and some dry calf milk replacer start usein some of both willin to try anything to help thanks for any advice thanks rick

Start off slow with the calf milk. I like to with 3 or 4 table spoons and increase up to about a half cup for a week or so. Usually this works for me. Hope this helps.>>>>>>>>>>>Laree

P.S.
Shorten her pen up 3 foot or so. Our whelping pens are small
stops them from running.
