This is my third morning in a row fooling with pups and young dogs. Decided to take Duke with his grandson this morning before he had a dang stroke wanting to hit the woods.

It was a good training session for Red Rocket. Duke treed on a feeder and must have run a whole covey up the feeder tree and they started bailing out. Red got after sqs and really fire him up. Bad part was sqs went through a old dozer pile covered with briars but Duke and Red was right behind them and I could hear Red opening and treeing some on his very first squirrel. No way to get to them. After Duke treed for a while I called them out. Man they were hot! Very good morning for Red!!

Here is Duke on feeder tree!

Here is Red and Duke after it was over. Red is makeing a big dog and he has a very good ringing chop mouth.

Here is a short clip of Duke treeing. No way to get to him. Red had stopped treeing before clip! I hate the woods or thickets I have to train in but I love fooling with young dogs so I just make the best of what I do have!

I'VE rocked my babies at nite when they've cried
I've seen their teardrops turn into smiles
that's when I realise all the bad things i've had
all of the good times out weigh the bad.
