Sat. July 17th the Unadilla, NY , Three Rivers Coon Hunters Ass. hosted the first annual KSBA event ever held in NY. The popularity of these great dogs is expanding in the northeast. This event drew 27 Kemmers, several Kemmer folks attended without their dog to see first hand how a Kemmer event was run, every single person there was pleasantly impressed and vowed to return next year. The friendly, Kemmer all in the family attitude made the biggest impression, very unlike a lot of such gatherings held by other associations.
Unfortunetly the weather didn't hold through the whole event, our nite hunt had to be cancelled due to violent thunder storms. We enjoyed a beautiful day, more than a little warm but the grounds offer a number of tie-outs with good shade, concrete buried in the ground with a few lengths of chain sticking out to tie to, great idea.
Cast winners in the squirrel hunt were Don Puderbaugh with Glade Run Jeb,- PA, and Von Strahan with Flatiron Fudd, NY,--both casts ended with circle points, not many squirrel moving and heavy canopy cover. Flatiron Fudd won the hunt with 100 circle points.
Bench show results.

One to Three years -- Riverbottom Sady, -- Zachary Pope, -NY
Over three years ------ Bressette's Sage, --Al Bressette,-- NY
Best female of show ------ Maple Grove Silverbear Raven, Gary Speed,--NH
Male

One to three years -- Silver Bear Buck, --Albert Pope,-- NY
Over Three years -- Flattiron Fudd -- Von Strahan,--NY
Best male of show -- Flattiron Fudd -- Von Strahan, --NY

We only had three owners that entered the treeing contest so held just a frendly competition without Ch. points.
and same with the water race none of either entries had ever been in competition so owners had no idea what thier dogs might do.
Riverbottom Sady won the treeing contest with 62 barks in 30 seconds beating her mom, Niggles, by two barks.

All in all a great day and we thank all that attended, hopefully next year we can get a date later in the year so a bit cooler.
