ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Just the word rattlesnake is enough to invoke terror in many people. But just imagine finding a super-sized serpent slithering around your backyard. Some folks in St. Augustine did. An Eastern Diamondback Rattler was found Sunday in Tuscany Village, a new development near the Outlet Malls. The snake measured out to be seven feet, three inches long. The record in Florida is eight feet. "I've never seen a snake that size in my life," said homeowner, Scott Russom. He and his neighbors kept the snake in their sights until a trapper arrived |
