To lazy to put the astros and tri tronics on this morning figuring a couple of easy sqs would be no problem. Jack struck and Ty struck in the pine thicket and headed into the cutover. I was hollering and mashing every button I could find trying to burn them off what I thought was a dang deer! WRONG!! Jack located and him and TyCoon started treeing. I said what'Da!! Well I about killed myself crawling under the cutover canopy and briars but I made it to a small oak still standing and there sat a big ole coon. I tried to throw sticks at him to knock him out but I threw part of my 'south paw' arm about half way up the tree. Petted them up good and headed out. We were all about dead when we got out!! Still a very good experience for my young dogs!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is the 'tree gate' shot!! ![]() Edited by TURBO DOG, Jul 31 2010, 09:15 AM.

Looks like a good morning class for the dogs. The coon sure looks like a big one too. If I had of been there with you (I would have climbed that tree and shook him out for you) or maybe got (LAREE) to climb the tree. Great pictures...............Big Ronnie

When I was trying to get these crazy mutts to leave Ty kept going back to the tree. He has a squal, bawl and chop but not sure what he wants to do yet. I took a short clip of 'what a cur dog suppose to sound like'!

Hey Charles looks like you got it goin on down there!! I remember a few years back me & Loyal Reed were huntin down in Grassy Cove , Loyal was huntin his good little fiest dog (Hammer) , I was huntin Boomer & Rose , all at once Boomer & Rose struck , ran out into a feild , made a big uturn & came back into the timber , boy was I about to get ahold of those two , Loyal said don't bother them, about that time they fell treed & there set a big ol fox squirrle . It sorta made me fill a little silly (I've been told a few times the dogs were smarter than me) It's a good point to know for sure before jumpin the gun on the dogs as I've saw some trigger happy hunters mess up some good prospects. Keep up the good work Charles & maybe we can hunt Grassy Cove together someday. GOD BLESS, Roger B. |

Ty is makeing a good dog for sure and by the end of this comeing season he will have enough coons and squirrels under his belt to classify him as a tree dog.........Big Ronnie |

Hearing Ty's bawl at the tree sure brought me back to years when CAJUN NUGGET was with us they sound identical. The 7/8 BLOOD seems to put that type of mouth on these dogs.Lady Nugget has enough 7/8 blood to carry on the tradition and Max's blood sure helps also. Great pics Charles looks like you have 2 good prospects. Nothing like Kemmer dogs who have been exposed to game they can't help but show there natural ability it just pours out of them...

Calvin, I thought you would recognize that bark or bawl!! I remember Ole Turbo(out of your Cajun Nugget) when he was 5 mos old back in February of 1994 when he tree a day coon off a feeder with his big old puppy bawling mouth. Look at these pics! nothing like consistant breeding to produce the same results almost 16 years later. That is why I enjoy these Kemmer dogs! Red Stick Cajun Turbo(5 mos old pup)! ![]() TyCoon! Sure makes it nice to know what to expect from these family bred tree dogs. It just keeps on reproducing the same type of dogs that Old Tn Mt Blondie was game crazy tree dogs...

I almost did the same thing to Wiley a year ago. He opened up off the back of the atv so I turned him loose. He went out a couple of hundred yards or so and I saw some deer jump up and run. I was saying a few choice words and wishing I had a collar on him, cuz I was going curl his hair with it and turn him into a poodle. But danged if he didn't go just a little further and opened up bayed on about 20 hogs! The dogs are looking good and I'm glad I wasn't the only one fighting through the brush yesterday. I'm still pulling thorns from my arms and upper legs this morning. |

Ronnie, I am not sure of his weight but in that pic at 5 mos old he was around 45 lbs. In hard hunting shape he was around 60-65 lbs. My Jack dog is not as big a dog as was Turbo! |

Thats the reason I asked because I thought he was around 60 lbs. or so. Ole Turbo sure knew how to hog a tree. Dogs that you hunt today sure have their work cut out for them trying to measure up on the measureing stick that Turbo left behind for them..............Big Ronnie |
