I like this photo. A farmer on a good lookin tractor & his faithful canine companion at his side no matter what his master is doing. Just think how much more we all could get out of our dogs if we were able to let them run loose so they could spend more quality time with us. Too many houses & paved roads for that to happen now.

It is nice to live far enough from the Hwy to be able to let Jack run lose. He is getting old and tired but still follows me around the place some when its not too hot. I would need to let a young dog start running lose far Jack to train him to take his place but the 2 males I have Hank and JJ both Jacks sons are wanting to kill my old buddy looks like he has finally gotten to the age where they will try and take over as the alpha dog. I have to put Jack in a kennel when I turn those 2 lose. Charles as soon as I get my fence finished which I would be sometime on late oct. we will make a coon hunt. We need to give time for the snakes and gators to go into there winter sleep. We have had lots of rain this year and I know that the big cypress swamp is full of water...... 50CAL

Calvin You have a good looking garden. I was in the wholesale nursery bussiness for about 35 years. Work for Bonnie Plant Farm. Good luck with your fall crop Gene.

I had to stop work on the horse fence to help my BIL build a house for his daughter. I started back on the fence today. I have a pile of 3in and 2 in pipe and will make all my corners out of it then use the 4 ft horse fence and T post. Its a lot of work but I will someday get to just play and not work... :D
I lost my colt to a bad infection about 2 weeks ago. I really havent been wanting to talk about it. I still have the mare and she is bred back to the same stud and with any luck will have another Palomino baby in April.

The mare is at my BIL and after I get this fence finished I will bring her here.

I've seen their teardrops turn into smiles

Hate to hear about your colt. I know how you were looking forward to raising that colt. Glad you have the mother bred back though.
