Reminds me of a gyp I had till I lost her to cancer. Do you think those red nosed dogs are better? A fellow told me my gyp was "old family, red nose" and would make a good catch dog. Just curious if you've heard that? Nice dogs!

I don't have a lot of experience with pit bulls but have had a lot of bulldogs over the years. From what I have read the Old Family Red Nose are dead game with a high drive. I don't know if they are better or not guess it depends on what you like.

This family has been around a short while but has proved its worth to those of us who use them for catching hogs. The chocolate is a female and the tan is a male. Both are under a year old.

I once knew as much about this breed of dogs as I do Kemmers. I know a breeder by the name of Wallace was known for his dead game red nose dogs. There were many breeders I got to know and am a very close friend to Floyd Boudreaux and have known him for 30 yrs. Spent a lot of time with him back in the 80's. Back then we sought after Bullyson blood just like we do Gold Nugget blood with the Kemmers.

So there was something to that red nose thing. I really liked the female i had, it broke our hearts when she had to be put down.

Thanks. There are 3 or 4 of us with them within driving distance so we should be able to keep them going for several years.
