Around 16 yrs. ago me, Laree, Machelle and our 2 mountain fiest was in Atlanta Ga. Machelle was just 2 or 3 yr. old. The 2 dogs was Coa Coa and Misty. Coa Coa was chocolate from head to tail. We had stopped at a truck stop and was inside eating when a man ran inside and said my truck was on fire outside. There was nothing I could do, it was big time burning. We used to be gone for 2 to 3 months at the time back then so that truck was sorta like home to us. We lost both dogs and everything in it. All we had was the cloths on our backs and we were 700 miles away from home in a mess. My exwife (Little Ronnies mother) and her new husband sent Little Ronnie in her pickup to pick us up and carry us to Henderson Tx. where we lived at the time. Now this comeing from a exwife and her husband or from anyone was a very appreciative thing to do. I never asked her or didn't even know she knew our truck had burned but they sent help to us. Later they told me and Laree that sometimes a person just needs some help and this was one of them times. That was a long time ago. My ex (Margaret) and Laree have learned to become friends and talk back and fourth with each other some and this is a good thing. Her and her husband was in the trucking buisness for a long time. Her husband (Lawarance) was in Charolottesville Va. just south of Washington DC wed. in there 18 wheeler and had a stroke while driveing down the road. He went across the south bound lane in the on comeing traffic and then went through several guard rails and back into the northbound lane but luckyily didn't hit no one. Little Ronnie picked up his mother and carried her up there (970 miles). I talked to him and his mother last night and Lawarance is paralyzed on one side and they had to do a emergency operation on him. He had a major blood clot on his brain when they got him to the hoispital. He is in ICU and is in a stable condition now if he can just hold it there. Me and Laree both have never forgot when these people sent their truck to Atlanta and picked us up and carried us home 16 yr. ago and at the time I had never spoke to this man and really didn't know him. Margaret told me yesterday that he can't talk but he can wiggle his toes and move his fingers a little. There big truck is setting in a wrecking yard in Charolottesville with a storage bill of so much per day on it while it is there. Well after 16 yrs. it is time to return the favor that I owe this man. I'm leaveing here this morning headed up there to load his wrecked big truck up on my trailer and bring it back to his house here. Like they told me 16 yrs. ago (theres sometimes when a man needs help) and this is one of them times. Little Ronnie told me last night that it is supposed to snow for the next 4 days up there and down to 17 or 18 degrees. Got my long johns and plenty of cloths loaded up...............Big Ronnie |

A lot of people conveniently forget how much has been done for them more especially in a time of need. It is nice to hear when someone remembers. |

very honorable gesture. I think when people talk about the good ol days, they are refering back to a time when people would help each other because it was the christian thing to do, as you are doing now... |

Here are a few pictures that Ronnie sent via his phone. Snow might mean much to some folks but after years on the road and seeing what happens in that kinda of weather I can't help but get a little nervous. Sure will be glad when he gets back home.>>>>>>>>>>>>>Laree T This was just before he stopped for the night. ![]() ![]() This is after he landed for the night. Still a good looking ride if I say so myself. ![]() This was this morning when he started his day. ![]() This was after he got back on the road agian. ![]() Edited by Big Ronnie, Jan 8 2011, 10:39 AM.
