4 wheeler repair work

The last couple of hunts I've been hearing a popping noise coming from my Arctic Cat as I was driving? So I finally started pulling plastic off for a better look and found where the frame had broken clean through in two places and another place where a cross member that attaches to the frame was broken.
With the dogs all out of action, guess it was a good time for it to happen. I yanked the plastic off the front end and got to work. Spent most of the day welding her back together and put a coat of paint on the welds before calling it a day. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get most of the parts put back on and have her ready for action again?

While I had her apart, I sprayed two cans of engine cleaner on her and gave her a good bath. These pictures were taken just before that.

Ok, she's back together and ready to roll. I pulled a wheelie a few minutes ago, stood her up almost vertical. If my welds held up to that, I think she's ready go. :D
Now to get some dogs healthy enough to go. :'(

Dee if you would keep all 4 wheels on the ground at the same time it might not break so bad. :P
I use to have the same problem when I rode , alot of the time none of the wheels were on the ground so I got rid of it & went back to walking.. :$

:D I don't normally pull a wheelie at all, but I figured I'd test my welds. :P

We do drive these things like trucks while on the ranch, not sure what incident caused the first crack, but it led to 2 more. Thankfully I am a decent welder with a mig and have a good one here at home, otherwise I'd hate to think of the repair bill I would have been charged.
