Calvin- I thought about you the other day. There I was plowing snow & freezing my hind end off & I just knew it was time for you to start those those "mater plants". I know we both live in the same country but sometimes by the pictures that are posted on this web-site it seems like we are in 2 diff worlds! Keep them little plants growing & keep us posted on their progress. Does my heart good to see something green & growing for a change. ;)

We're at least 8 weeks out from being able to plant any tomatoes, and that is still iffy. I sure am looking forward to a nice sweet garden tomatoe.
I hunt the "PURE" KEMMER MEAT DOGS.
No byproducts!!!!

Looking good Calvin. Nothing like a REAL TOMATOE sandwich. Two slices of bread with mayinaise on both slices with a thick slice of tomatoe from a (big red tomatoe not orange colored) and cover it with salt and pepper. On speacial occaisions when I was a kid we would get a couple pieces of beacon for it (wow). My grandaddy and grandma raised me and they both had their own garden and they better not catch each other in their garden either. He raised big boy tomatoes and she raise better boy tomatoes. I went to plow the garden for them with my 2 yr. old buckskin colt one saturday while they were gone to town. I knew they would be proud of me and Stormy when they got back home. All went pretty good right up to the point to where we went through the gate and the side harrow hung on the gate post. Stormy went crazy and the plow pulled up the gate post and all the fence. By the time he stopped running round and round inside both gardens with the plow hung in the fence it looked like the garden had took a direct hit from a tornada. YEP they whipped me and Stormy everytime they thought about it for several days. It was a while before I liked tomatoes again. :'( :'( :'( ............Big Ronnie

Wendel we need to get you down here one winter and show you around Cajun Country. Saturday morning 8am Breaux Bridge La. at a Cafe on main street there is Cajun Music till noon. Standing room only.People around here know how to have a good time. Then we can get my sons to take us for a boat ride in the Atchafalaye Swamp and show you some sights that you won't see anywhere else.Lots to do here without fooling with a snowplow.... :D
