sorry to hear about the pup Ronnie. That just sucks...I know God has a reason for it, but sometimes we have to be patient before he shows the reason to us. Prayers sent for y'all.

We have found out more about why Double Trouble was down at the road. about a month ago someone dumped off a smaller brown brindle dog on the road near here. We saw her walking on the road for a few days and figured out she had been dumped off. Laree picked her up and hauled her down the road for about 7 or 8 miles and put her out. she was skinny and real pour. Last week we had a dog to slip her chain and was missing for a little while. While Laree was looking everywhere for her she ran up on this same brindle dog in the woods across the road from our drive way. Laree said she was fat now but it looked like she was liveing there in the woods. Since then I have saw my neighbors truck at the end of his driveway several times but didn't think about what he was doing untill now. I think he was going down there putting out feed for this brindle dog. Laree saw her yesterday under my cow trailer laying up and now we know what happened. Double Trouble was very alert and when he was turned out yesterday morning he ran her back across the road and got ran over while comeing back aross the road. I was going to take care of this yesterday but Laree said if I didn't mind (this was something she really wanted to do herself). This sounds like it is premeditated to me. When this rain stops I bet ya'll that this brindle or any colored dog or dogs across the road or down the road or up the road from our house is in big trouble.............Big Ronnie

I'VE rocked my babies at nite when they've cried
I've seen their teardrops turn into smiles
that's when I realise all the bad things i've had

Sorry for your loss Ronnie, but the solution is to not let your dog's run loose. Not shoot all the stray dog's in your neighborhood...............

Sorry to here about Double Trouble. I know he meant a lot to you guys. The real problem are the people who MAKE strays out of their dogs!!!!!! Not the property owner or the property owners dogs whos natural instincts are to guard their owners yard. I can see where Double Trouble was just in the wrong place at the wrong time after doing what he considered to be his duty for his master.

dumped out strays need to be culled and the people who dump them need to be punished if caught.

I don't shoot all the stray dogs in the neighbor hood. I just shoot the strays that come in my yard. If you will read back at the beginning of this you will see where I said Laree hauled the stray nearly 7 miles down the road from our house after she had been dumped off and she showed back up here again. With the price of gas now (1) 22 bullet is much cheaper plus I fill better too. (DOG GONE)..............Big Ronnie
